Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Die Sendung Sabine Christiansen ist mittlerweile die erfolgreichste Polit-Talkshow im deutschen Fernsehen. Die öffentliche Meinung über die Sendung ist geteilt: Einerseits wird davon ausgegangen, dass Politik durch eine solche Sendung trivialisiert werde nicht zuletzt durch den Drang der Gäste, sich gut in Szene setzen zu wollen. Andererseits ist das selbst erklärte Ziel der Sendung, politische Themen und Prozesse für den Zuschauer verständlich darzustellen. Auch wird behauptet, dass die Sendung besonders exklusive Informationen verbreitet oder gar eine Art Leitmedium geworden ist. Dabei gibt es jedoch bisher kaum Erkenntnisse darüber, welche Funktionen die Zuschauer in der Sendung sehen. Mit einer quantitativen Befragung soll gezeigt werden, welche Funktionen die Sendung aus Zuschauersicht erfüllt. Als Ergebnis werden Typen von Zuschauern gebildet, die sich in ihren Funktionszuschreibungen unterscheiden. Unterhaltende Momente der Sendung spielen offenbar nur eine geringe Rolle für ihre Nutzer. Marking the centenary of the birth of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy (1895–1946), this book offers a new approach to the Bauhaus artist and theorist’s multifaceted life and work—an approach that redefines the very idea of biographical writing. In Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Louis Kaplan applies the Derridean deconstructivist model of the "signature effect" to an intellectual biography of a Constructivist artist. Inhabiting the borderline between life and work, the book demonstrates how the signature inscribed by "Moholy" operates in a double space, interweaving signified object and signifying matter, autobiography and auto-graphy. Through interpretative readings of over twenty key artistic and photographic works, Kaplan graphically illustrates Moholy’s signature effect in action. He shows how this effect plays itself out in the complex of relations between artistic originality and plagiarism, between authorial identity and anonymity, as well as in the problematic status of the work of art in the age of technical reproduction. In this way, the book reveals how Moholy’s artistic practice anticipates many of the issues of postmodernist debate and thus has particular relevance today. Consequently, Kaplan clarifies the relationship between avant-garde Constructivism and contemporary deconstruction. In her 2007 poem cycle Niemands Frau, Barbara Köhler returns to Homer’s Odyssey, not to retell it, but to take up some of the threads it has woven into the cultural tradition of the West – and to unravel them, just as Penelope, the wife of the hero who called himself Nobody, unravelled each night the web she re-wove by day. Köhler’s return to the Odyssey takes place under the sign of a grammatical shift, from ‘er’ to ‘sie’, from the singular hero to a plurality of female voices – Nausicaa, Circe, Calypso, Ino Leucothea, Helen and Penelope herself – with implications for thinking about identity, power and knowledge, about gender and relationality, but also about the corporeality and multivocality which underlies the ‘virtual reality’ of the printed text.
