Versucht einfach mal eure Auszeit anders zu erleben, werft die Ängste und Vorurteile über Bord, erkauft euch nicht euren Urlaub mit dem hart verdienten Geld. Lebt wenigstens die wenigen Tage im Jahr nicht geplant und strukturiert. Lebt einfach in den Tag hinein. Dieses Buch ist kein Reiseführer. Warum barfuß? Ganz einfach. Seit einiger Zeit finden wir Gefallen an langen Wanderungen aber immer wieder sind wir während oder nach den Wanderungen schmerzhaft daran erinnert worden, dass es so einfach nicht ist; vor allem für die Knochen. Die einzige Lösung: Immer teurere Ausrüstung. Ich möchte euch dieses Abenteuer, Experiment vermitteln, mit all den Erfahrungen und Erkenntnissen, die ich gemacht habe. Ich bin kein Arzt oder Heiler, sondern Ingenieur, weiß allerdings vieles über Mechanik und Kräfte. Ich betrachte die Einflüsse des barfuß Laufens also aus einer rein physikalischen Sicht, so eben wie es der Ingenieur tut. Ich hingegen will systematisch den Gehapparat stärken und so sicherstellen, dass ich weniger Beschwerden beim Wandern bekomme. Nach kurzer Trainingszeit, habe ich den Effekt gespürt und war so fit, dass ich mich gut für den Camino fühlte. Ich hatte keine nennenswerten Beschwerden, weder während, noch nach der Wanderung. Die getapten Knie, die humpelnden Menschen und die Geschichten von Schmerzmittel haben mich darin bestärkt, den zuvor gefällten Entschluss, die Erfahrungen schriftlich zu verfassen, umzusetzen. Die Geschichten sind in Form eines Tagebuches verfasst, und im Nachhinein stelle ich fest, wie sehr mich der Camino verändert hat. Aber es gibt noch was anderes, ich bin gestartet, um einen gut ausgebauten, einfachen Wanderweg zu laufen, der eine gute Infrastruktur hat. Ich habe aber den Camino entdeckt. Menschlichkeit, Demut und eine Nähe, die ich in dieser Form lange nicht mehr erlebt hatte. Eine Erfahrung, die man nur schwer vermitteln kann, aber so berauschend, dass ich beschlossen habe, den Weg regelmäßig zu laufen.
