You can’t trust the Bible; it’s been translated too many times. Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah or God. Science has proven that miracles don’t happen (so the Bible is a fairytale). All religions basically teach the same thing (so all paths lead to God). Have you heard these? People say a lot of things about the Bible, God, Jesus, and Christianity that are simply not true. Like the guys on the popular cable show Mythbusters, it’s time we put these commonly held myths to the test. Following a brief summary of a recurring myth or misconception about the Christian faith, Fred explains why the myth is false and provides biblical and historical evidence in his response. He masterfully weaves together serious discussion with a touch of humor in his responses, all the while keeping the focus on the Scriptures. He avoids making fun of the people who hold views which differ from his own, but the views themselves are fair game. So grab a cup of coffee and find a cozy corner. Let’s do a little myth busting of our own.

Popular Apologist Corrects the Record on What Christianity Is All About The Christianity our culture rejects may not be true Christianity at all. So many people today believe they have to be good to be accepted by God, or that the Bible is just a list of do's and don'ts, or that God is far away and unapproachable. Instead of providing "proofs" about God and the Bible, in this book Alex provides a reason to want to know Jesus. By sharing his own story of the loneliness and alienation of his youth, Alex taps in to universal fears of rejection and loneliness. We all seek acceptance and purpose--and there's only one solution. Learn how to be anchored in the Truth and security that comes through Christ.

The public are inundated with untruths about Jesus of Nazareth, the greatest figure in human history and the one by whom we date everything. Sometimes these truths emerge from the media and sometimes from specific assaults on Jesus by special interest groups and writers. Michael Green thoughtfully and robustly takes on the most important of these untruths. * Was Jesus just a mythical figure who never lived? * Were the Gospel accounts of him corrupt and written long after he lived? * Can we trust the text of the New Testament? * Was Mary Magdalene Jesus's lover? * Were the Gnostic Gospels just as good evidence as the four Gospels which Christians read today? * Did Jesus really die on the cross? And surely nobody these days believes in the resurrection? After all, hasn't the tomb of Jesus and his family been discovered? These are some of the issues addressed in this book. The author is an ancient historian as well as a New Testament scholar. He is not ashamed to call the misrepresentations about Jesus what they are - lies, lies, lies!

There are many things Christians believe and take for granted as truths that are more religious traditions and not necessarily Biblical truths. Things like the fruit on the tree in the garden of Eden was an apple; Noah only took two of each species on to the ark; a whale swallowed Jonah; when you get to heaven, you will receive a mansion; women should not teach; Jesus died on Good Friday and was raised on Sunday' the angel at the pool of Bethesda was of God; and Jesus was born on the 25th of December, just to name a few. Unfortunately, too many Christians are complacent and feel it is sufficient to know only what the church they attend preaches and teaches. Hopefully, through the words, scriptures and the manner in which I present this information to you, it will no longer be excusable to live with people's ideas, traditions or stories to satisfy the one who claims to be a Christian. We are not getting anywhere spiritually if we are not studying for ourselves and making a distinction between what is said and what is written. What is the truth, and what is a myth. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15 that we are to study for ourselves so that we can present our bodies to God approved a worker who has no cause to be ashamed. We are to analyse correctly and accurately study the Word of truth. I hope that you get as much out of this book as I did in putting it together. Be blessed

Fifty Christian Myths was written to address questions that are very common to understanding basic Christianity, doctrine, and of course some theology. The author is suggesting that you evaluate your Christian etiquette belief or value system. We all have questions, and good questions bring good answers. Better questions bring better answers. Superior questions will yield superior answers. So what is this book about? Basically in a spiritual nutshell the size of our solar system, I explain my central position of my faith in Christ Jesus. I have produced a serious in-depth study of what I have compiled as my personal objective view of sharing notes, conversations, and observations between many born-again Christians, pastors, and lay leaders in the Christendom. My position is that we need to let the scriptures speak with the power of the Holy Spirit without mixing human worldviews. This will prevent us from creating a composite half-truth based on our personal view of human interpretation and understanding to live the Christian life. God bless you for reading this exposé, and I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will become more defined in your walk with Him to seek His truth.
