Success in the classroom is what every teacher strives for, but not all achieve. They pour their hearts and souls into the profession, devote long hours with minimal pay, and have the best of intentions, but in the end, almost never achieve extra-ordinary results. What is the difference between teachers who are extraordinary, the ones who have this flow, this rapport, this routine and style and the teachers who struggle with everything from classroom management to participation, to just making any type progress in general? In other words, what makes a great teacher great? That has been my driving question for the past 12 years and the reason for developing this manual you see here today. In an effort to better myself and my abilities, I delved into everything from brain-based research, to cutting edge speaking, selling, and rapport-building strategies, to even seeing how other countries handle education successfully. I spent countless hours interviewing and observing some of the greatest teachers at work, and after everything, I found some tendencies that seem to bring about the most effective results with the least effort. The order in which the strategies are covered is not significant because any strategy alone will produce immediate results. Use any one of these techniques and your success as a teacher grows geometrically, but use any combination and your success grows exponentially. After reading this manual, you will be armed with the proper strategies to help you get the most out of what you do and get the results you've always wanted. You are at this point of power to affect and change people's lives, and you now have tools in which to do it more effectively and efficiently. Build those bridges, develop those relationships, and use these strategies to become unforgettable, unstoppable and incredible.

Integrating Faith And Special Education written by Ben Nworie and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-10-10 with Education categories.

There is an inherent connection between the Christian faith and special education. For example, both focus on the worth of the individual. Both also focus on fairness and on caring for, or helping, the weak. Similarly, both aim to equip and support others. This book helps the readers perceive this integral relationship that exists between the Christian faith and the special education discipline. This book utilizes the chapters that stem from real life professional experiences and scholarship of the contributors to model and encourage special education practice from a Christian faith angle. It is our view that special education practiced from this faith perspective will transform what is currently accepted as best practice, into a new system of special education experience that is wholesome, biblically-based, and characteristic of Shalom as wholeness (not just peace). Shalom in this sense has strong relevance in both the Christian faith and special education. The first three chapters highlight the connection between special education and Christian theology, and draw attention to the pivotal role worldview plays in being an effective special educator. The bulk of the body of the text looks at different aspects of instructional effectiveness in special education from a Christian faith perspective.

Constructivism is everywhere. It is a hot issue at this time in the field of philosophy, education, technology, and religion. However, can constructivism be an alternative approach in faith-based education? While some conclude that Jesus knew learning was an active knowledge-creating process, and that he always encouraged his disciples to think deeply and go beyond the surface level, others would find that constructivism undercuts faith-based education because of its claims to relativity. For example, constructivists claim that meaning is imposed on the world by us rather than existing in the world independently from us. Thus, they proclaim that truth is relative to particular times, places, and people. Christians hold that truth does exist absolutely. So how can there be a way forward for faith-based educators who see the good in the constructivist approach? In Faith-Based Education that Constructs readers will find a unique approach whereby constructivism may appropriately be applied to a faith-based education setting. Although disagreement can occur between constructivism and faith-based education, this book concludes that constructivist thought and Christian faith-based education are, in the end, congruent and harmonious in significant ways. Those faith-based educators who continue to hold cautionary views of radical constructivist assertions against absolute truths need not disregard all other aspects of constructivism.
