How the FAA can solve the problem but does not. JFK, JR. got a bum rap when his crash was attributed to "pilot error." The NTSB ignored or denied forensic evidence. Women could have guessed it, but now comes the proof, says pilot and forensic investigator John F. Gambal. The issues men have with personal relationships causes aviation crashes. Women hold 6% of pilots´ licenses, but cause only 2% of the fatal crashes--and their crashes are more often due to skill level, an easily corrected issue. Men´s crashes are more often due to poor decision-making, a more difficult matter to correct. "Pilot error" is not enough to explain what goes wrong--the real problem is repressed emotions, an essential component of decision-making. The FAA, and the rest of us, are not asking questions about WHY male pilots make so many more ineffective decisions. JFK, Jr.'s fans could have guessed it, but now comes the proof. The media jumped to the conclusion of "pilot error" within minutes after JFK. Jr.'s. disappearance was reported. The hype was so intense that NTSB investigators went with the flow. Between his examples and forensic evidence, the author also fascinates and informs with how some of the overlooked or denied forensic evidence includes how: 1. the last radar contact was at 1,100 hundred feet yet the NTSB stated that impact occurred after he entered a "graveyard spiral," 2. a "graveyard spiral" results with a plane hitting the surface in an upright position yet JFK, Jr.'s plane hit the water in an almost upside-down position, 3. FAA radar data shows that JFK, Jr. had reduced power while making his descent but the power control was found in the full power position, 4. the plane hit the water while developing full power yet the fuel control lever was in the "OFF" position, 5. no sense was made of a passenger's "clean cut" seat belt. 6. the alternative theory of the crash in the book is more feasible than "pilot error." The new concept presented in the book focuses on personal-process (p-process), which is as unique as fingerprints and DNA. P-process is our subconscious emotional DNA. Recognizing and acknowledging a particular p-process factor that is creating or prolonging a problem will go a long way in eliminating it; as we have begun to do by identifying DNA markers and connecting specific genes to a particular problem. There will be immeasurable benefits when p-process is brought to a conscious level. Personal relationships will improve. Divorce will decrease. Children's education problems will diminish. The objective of this book is to present a number of related chapters on the subject of gender issues in the workplace of the aviation industry. More specifically, the chapters address the continuing shortfall in the number of women pilots in both civilian and military aviation. Each of the chapters is research-based and aims to present a broad picture of gender issues in aviation, gendered workplaces and sociology, underpinned by sound theoretical perspectives and methodologies. One chapter additionally raises issues on the historical exclusion of race from an airline. Conceived during the dark days of the Cold War, the U-2 is a single-engine,single-seat, surveillance aircraft. Designed by aeronautical engineer ¿Kelly¿ Johnson, the plane was used by the C.I.A. to photograph installations deep inside Soviet Russia. Known as the ¿Dragon Lady¿, the U-2 was classified.
