ATP 3-09.50 reflects and supports unified land operations doctrine contained in Army doctrine publication 3-0 and Army doctrine reference publication (ADRP) 3-0. ATP 3-09.50 contains 12 chapters and 4 appendices: - Chapter 1 provides an overview and discussion of cannon unit organization and tactical duties of key personnel. Training Circular (TC) 3-09.81, "Field Artillery Manual Cannon Gunnery," sets forth the doctrine pertaining to the employment of artillery fires.
