A point to remember at this step is that the value of gain lost in transit can be determined in several different ways. The claimant has the option of choos ing the price most beneficial to his interest. In effect, he can use the invoice price as used in this example, or he can use either the origin price on date of loading or the destination cash price on date of unloading.
