Martin Richter examines the development of Protestant ecclesiastical law in the GDR and explores the question of whether this development differed significantly from that in the FRG. German description: Nach 1945 stand das Kirchenrecht in den evangelischen Landeskirchen im Osten Deutschlands vor erheblichen Herausforderungen. Beide Bezugsgrossen - Kirche und Recht - veranderten sich erheblich. Die evangelischen Kirchen mussten auf staatliche Repressalien und auf teilweise rapiden Mitgliederschwund reagieren. Der allgemeine Rechtsbegriff machte eine erhebliche Bedeutungsverschiebung durch; kennzeichnend ist der Ubergang vom Rechtsstaatsprinzip zur asozialistischen Gesetzlichkeit. Diese Entwicklungen konnten nicht ohne Ruckwirkungen auf das Kirchenrecht bleiben.Die Kirchen in der DDR mussten ausserdem auch auf die Mangel- und Diasporasituation reagieren. Dabei sammelten sie Erfahrungen, die auch fur den gesamtdeutschen Protestantismus von Nutzen sein konnten. Martin Richter geht in seiner Studie der Frage nach, inwiefern diese Erfahrungen auch im Kirchenrecht ihren Niederschlag gefunden haben.

Globalisation is considered a success story. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the political divides between East and West Germany, nothing seemed to stand in the way of peaceful cooperation between people everywhere. Under the precepts of economic liberalism, by removing institutional obstacles to international trade and capital flows, a spontaneous global order would emerge, and the dream of a world populated by free and prosperous global citizens would eventually come true.But in the wake of the worldwide financial crisis that began in 2007-2008, in the world of an ongoing Euro-Crisis, Trump and Brexit, it has become apparent that the great liberal project has failed. Neoclassical liberal economic theory has shown itself to be fundamentally incapable of explaining the dynamics of a market economy and in guiding economic policy in developed as well as in developing countries.Given the continuing dominance of that discredited theory today, the world lacks a viable conceptual framework for global cooperation among nations, and appropriate national economic policies. With this book, the authors show how such a framework can be built on the basis of a modern and empirically sound economic theory.

Der Arbeitsbereich DDR-Forschung und -Archiv unseres Zentralinstituts freut sich, ein knappes Jahr nach Er scheinen des ersten Bandes dieser systematischen Bibliographie, in dem Veröffentlichungen zur Geschichte, zum politischen System der DDR, zum Verhältnis der DDR zu den nichtkommunistischen Ländern und zur deut schen Frage nachgewiesen wurden, nunmehr den zweiten vorlegen zu können. Er enthält Monographien, Auf sätze aus Sammelbänden und aus Wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften der Universitäten und Hochschulen zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung der SBZlDDR sowie Veröffentlichungen zu Aufgabe und Inhalt der marxistisch-le ninistischen Wirtschaftswissenschaften. - Die Erfahrungen, die die Bearbeiter mit dem ersten Band gemacht haben, sind dem jetzt vorgelegten zugute gekommen: Die zeitliche Verkürzung der Satzarbeiten wurde genutzt, um in die Bibliographie Veröffentlichungen bis in das Jahr 1986 hinein aufzunehmen. Weiter konnten kleinere Verbesserungen bei der Präsentation des Materials (z. B. Beginn der ersten Kolumne jeder Seite mit dem Auto rennamen auch dann, wenn dieser bereits auf der voraufgegangenen Seite mit Arbeiten genannt wird) vorge nommen sowie beispielsweise die Benutzerhinweise leserfreundlicher gestaltet werden. Über die Konzeption der Bibliographie, ihre Ein-bzw. Zuordnung zu anderen bibliographischen Nachschla gewerken, die sich mit der DDR-Entwicklung, den Beziehungen zwischen beiden deutschen Staaten usw. be fassen, über das "Profil" der Sammlungen, die dieser Bibliographie zugrunde liegen, ist bereits ausführlich im Vorwort zum ersten Band berichtet worden. Da diese Aussagen unverändert gelten, sollen sie an dieser Stelle nicht wiederholt werden. Es mag jedoch sinnvoll sein, einen Aspekt nochmals ausdrücklich hervorzuheben.
