The editor has incorporated contributions from a diverse group of leading researchers in the field of differential equations. This book aims to provide an overview of the current knowledge in the field of differential equations. The main subject areas are divided into general theory and applications. These include fixed point approach to solution existence of differential equations, existence theory of differential equations of arbitrary order, topological methods in the theory of ordinary differential equations, impulsive fractional differential equations with finite delay and integral boundary conditions, an extension of Massera's theorem for n-dimensional stochastic differential equations, phase portraits of cubic dynamic systems in a Poincare circle, differential equations arising from the three-variable Hermite polynomials and computation of their zeros and reproducing kernel method for differential equations. Applications include local discontinuous Galerkin method for nonlinear Ginzburg-Landau equation, general function method in transport boundary value problems of theory of elasticity and solution of nonlinear partial differential equations by new Laplace variational iteration method. Existence/uniqueness theory of differential equations is presented in this book with applications that will be of benefit to mathematicians, applied mathematicians and researchers in the field. The book is written primarily for those who have some knowledge of differential equations and mathematical analysis. The authors of each section bring a strong emphasis on theoretical foundations to the book.

Multiple Fixed-Point Theorems and Applications in the Theory of ODEs, FDEs and PDEs covers all the basics of the subject of fixed-point theory and its applications with a strong focus on examples, proofs and practical problems, thus making it ideal as course material but also as a reference for self-study. Many problems in science lead to nonlinear equations T x + F x = x posed in some closed convex subset of a Banach space. In particular, ordinary, fractional, partial differential equations and integral equations can be formulated like these abstract equations. It is desirable to develop fixed-point theorems for such equations. In this book, the authors investigate the existence of multiple fixed points for some operators that are of the form T + F, where T is an expansive operator and F is a k-set contraction. This book offers the reader an overview of recent developments of multiple fixed-point theorems and their applications. About the Authors Svetlin G. Georgiev is a mathematician who has worked in various areas of mathematics. He currently focuses on harmonic analysis, functional analysis, partial differential equations, ordinary differential equations, Clifford and quaternion analysis, integral equations and dynamic calculus on time scales. Khaled Zennir is assistant professor at Qassim University, KSA. He received his PhD in mathematics in 2013 from Sidi Bel Abbès University, Algeria. He obtained his Habilitation in mathematics from Constantine University, Algeria in 2015. His research interests lie in nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations: global existence, blow up and long-time behavior.

Equilibrium Problems And Variational Models written by P. Daniele and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-12-01 with Mathematics categories.

The volume, devoted to variational analysis and its applications, collects selected and refereed contributions, which provide an outline of the field. The meeting of the title "Equilibrium Problems and Variational Models", which was held in Erice (Sicily) in the period June 23 - July 2 2000, was the occasion of the presentation of some of these papers; other results are a consequence of a fruitful and constructive atmosphere created during the meeting. New results, which enlarge the field of application of variational analysis, are presented in the book; they deal with the vectorial analysis, time dependent variational analysis, exact penalization, high order deriva tives, geometric aspects, distance functions and log-quadratic proximal methodology. The new theoretical results allow one to improve in a remarkable way the study of significant problems arising from the applied sciences, as continuum model of transportation, unilateral problems, multicriteria spatial price models, network equilibrium problems and many others. As noted in the previous book "Equilibrium Problems: Nonsmooth Optimization and Variational Inequality Models", edited by F. Giannessi, A. Maugeri and P.M. Pardalos, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Vol. 58 (2001), the progress obtained by variational analysis has permitted to han dle problems whose equilibrium conditions are not obtained by the mini mization of a functional. These problems obey a more realistic equilibrium condition expressed by a generalized orthogonality (complementarity) con dition, which enriches our knowledge of the equilibrium behaviour. Also this volume presents important examples of this formulation.
