April sales: Revised April sales of fluid products in regulated markets (61 Federal and 5 State) averaged more than 1 percent above a year earlier. Whole milk sales during April were down 1 percent from April 1969. Low-fat and skim milk sales for April were up 10 percent from a year earlier. Milk and cream mixtures sales (mostly half and half) continued below the 1969 level. Cream sales for April were nearly 7 percent below a year earlier. Excerpt from Fluid Milk and Cream Report: September 1963 Single quart home delivery prices for the most common grade of whole milk in 25 major cities in early September averaged cents unchanged from August but two-tenths of a cent above September 1962. The average this month is also cents per quart higher than the September 1957-61 average. An increase of a cent per quart for milk in some outlets in the New York Metropolitan market was the only reported change this month. July whole milk sales (preliminary) in 81 State and Federal marketing areas on an average daily basis were 1 percent below June, but it percent above July last year. Skim milk sales during June in 80 areas were it percent less than May but A percent more than June a year ago. Milk and cream mixture sales (half-and half) in 75 areas for June dropped 6 percent from May and were 6 percent under June 1962. Sales of other fluid cream items in 76 areas (average daily) for June declined 5 percent from May and were 6 percent lower than June a year ago. Total fluid product sales in 79 areas during June decreased 8 percent from May but were only fractionally under June 1962. Receipts per person in 86 areas for July were 3 percent higher than a year earlier. Per producer, receipts averaged 79h pounds per day or 9 percent greater than a year earlier. Sales of fluid cream for October were 1 percent below September and 2 percent less than October a year ago. All fluid product sales (average daily) in 70 markets in October declined 2 percent from September but were unchanged from October 1960. Receipts from producers in 76 Federal Order and 5 State marketing areas, on an average daily basis for November, were 6 percent higher than a year earlier.
