Footprints of Grace: An Intimate Portrayal of the Footsteps of Jesus is a uniquely rich, suspenseful, tender, and compelling idyllic narrative portraying the gracious footsteps of IsraelaEUR(tm)s long-awaited Messiah, the man called Jesus Christ of Nazareth. In fact, this narrative captured, in graphic scenery, the magnificent signs and miracles that IsraelaEUR(tm)s Messiah demonstrated on the poor, oppressed, and downtrodden in bringing release to the sick and disease. Indeed, Dr. WrightaEUR(tm)s chronicle of JesusaEUR(tm)s teaching and healing and His complete devotion to God, is an intimate, spirit-filled narrative with a host of refreshing dramatic expressions not duplicated in any other previous writings. His narrative not only captures the hearts of the people of Israel, but the heart of the reader as well. Therefore, through GodaEUR(tm)s providential design, it is hoped that in every city, town, and village that Jesus, IsraelaEUR(tm)s long-awaited Messiah, traveled, His glorious footprints of grace were forever engraved into the heart and lives of those whom He touched in seeking to save the lost in carrying out His Judean and Galilean ministries.

Life may throw us many curves, and sometimes it feels as if we missed one and ended up over the edge. Thank goodness that we have a big God who picks us up dusts us off and helps us to see that we did not miss it after all; we just misjudged it a little and only swerved. I often wonder if I am the only one that ever feels that way. Sometimes it seems that we are the only ones with a particular problem and are ashamed of the life we have been dealt. Through all of the hardships, abuse, depression, and bullyingthrough losing my father and almost losing everything I had come to know and loveI found the Lord. It is through his grace that I am now free from all the bondage I was held in for so many years. I can choose to be lost, or choose to be found. I choose to be found. I have a peace about me and, for the first time in my life, am truly happy. This book is a collection of stories from my life. You will read about the ups, the downs, the tears, and the laughter. You will learn how I went for thirty-nine years of my life without the Lord and see how these stories are my Footsteps toward Grace.

'Footsteps of Grace', written by Feon L. Davis, is an inspirational paperback, that resonates with praise, as each poem bring us closer to her love of God. It was inspired through having initially written prose pieces, and having developed these over a period of time into poetry. Poets such as Edward Thomas, an English poet and friend of the great American poet Robert Frost, took this approach also, writing about nature and about every day topics and then transforming prose into poetry. Feon's poetry has been instigated by her religious feelings though, and it is very idiosyncratic to her emotional experiences of feeling a proximity with God that she communicates with elegance through her poetry. Her poems reflect the beauty and warmth that Feon feels, as part of her encounter with the Lord. Within the anthology, there are many poems which almost read like prayers, and this sense of linking in with God is perpetually within Feon Davis' poetry. She feels connected with her sense of spirituality through writing poetry, and the intensity of language and feeling can easily be seen by any reader. The poems scintillate with language which shows Feon's sense of being blessed, the subject areas reflecting life for anyone in any place and of any age, however, as they have a universality about them. Her poems appeal to the heart and mind, and they are cathartic in taking the reader on a journey in which they explore their own faith. Christianity brings with it certain emotions which we all sometimes find difficult to express exactly, and we may all feel different emotions as we express our thanks to God. Feon's poetry is an example of how close some people feel to God, as she can hear and feel Him beside her, when she writer her poetry, and her sentiments express this. She shares her feelings of love with the reader, as well as raising questions about their own experience, inviting them on what may potentially be described as a poetry pilgrimage. Small miracles happen to us each and everyday, and within Feon's life, poems are like miracles in that they transform perception and can change feelings from those of sadness to peace. Feon Davis brings to the reader a rainbow of words, which will inevitably brighten their day, as they are often optimistic and offer hope, giving the reader courage and offering calm. Within our modern world, with so many pressures and demands, this anthology is a small oasis, which can be dipped into at any time, bringing feeling of serenity and stillness. Feon believes that everyone is special, and that our own sense of uniqueness should be celebrated through poetry. She communicates the sense that we are all individuals and we should be free to express ourselves through poetry, tapping into those inner reserves in the way that God intended, to empower us. Poetry offers peace, and Feon's lovely words release people from the stresses and strains of their every day lives, taking them on a journey, walking in the 'Footsteps of Grace'.

Fifth-century Christianity was a theological battlefield. With the Messalian heretics and their experientialist spirituality on the one side and the intellectualist school on the other, representatives of both extremes found themselves condemned by the Church. In this milieu of subjectivist notions of grace and negative anthropology, there appeared a true mystic, Diadochus, Bishop of Photike in Epiros. His is a theology whose two poles are God's grace and man's ability to cooperate with it by way of discernment of spirits. Diadochus's ability to salvage what was orthodox from the Messalians and the intellectualists proves that, rather than a reactionary, he was a true theologian capable of synthesis, open to the truth even if found in his adversary, and yet firm in his faith, unwilling to compromise. He is among the earliest witnesses of the Jesus Prayer. Diadochus is the most important spiritual writer of his century, whose influence can be found in the writings of Maximus the Confessor, Simeon the New Theologian, Gregory of Palamas, and the author of The Way of the Pilgrim. This is the first translation of his complete works in English. Cliff Ermatinger is a Chicago native and works as associate pastor of two parishes in that archdiocese. He is the author of several books on Byzantine and Carmelite spirituality as well as one on philosophy. He has written articles for Spanish, English, and German language periodicals. Along with his priestly duties, he coaches rugby, fly fishes, and competes as a bagpiper in Highland Games throughout the U.S.

Walking in Grandpa¿s Footsteps, is a book about ordinary events of life which contain the movement of the grace and mercy of God. The people and events described reflect a common ground that we all share with one another. Each vignette leads the reader into the world of the activity of God in scripture and in life. Where ever the two come together there the grace and mercy of God are applied. Therefore, to encounter God in the ordinary places of our life is to discover who we are and what God has called us to be. In this encounter with God, we discover our destiny and that God is constantly seeking to bring us from where we are to where we need to be. A hidden meaning of the book is that we do not journey alone, but that we are all connected in this adventure. We came from God and we will return to God. In our early stage of life, we followed someone. I have simply suggested that it might have been a close relative like grandpa. It reminds us that we have followed and some have followed us. As we journey through life, we leave behind our footprints.
