La educación sexual en el ser humano es compleja, aún más cuando se trata del inicio de esta durante la adolescencia, etapa de la vida que transcurre con una serie de cambios biopsicosociales. A pesar de la existencia normativa de Lineamientos Educativos y Orientaciones Pedagógicas para la Educación Sexual Integral (ESI), esta sigue siendo parte de un currículo poco manejado en la mayoría de las Instituciones educativas. La realidad, sin embargo, nos muestra a través de los indicadores sanitarios un incremento de embarazos precoces, infecciones de transmisión sexual, la violencia de género, entre otros como la deserción escolar en los y las adolescentes. Se elaboró un modelo educativo teniendo como base el Modelo Biográfico Profesional, se ha realizado una revisión documental exhaustiva previa, presentando el ejemplar en un I capítulo sobre la concepción de la sociedad y la sexualidad, II capitulo acerca de las teorías que sustentan el modelo, así como los modelos existentes, III capitulo presenta las variables y la unidad de análisis estudiadas, IV y V capitulo denota la realidad de la ESI a nivel regional y el conocimiento y actitudes en relación a la sexualidad en los adolescentes, y por último el VI capitulo presenta el modelo educativo propuesto con las fases, estrategias metodológicas, estructura y la fundamentación científica, el cual fortalecerá la ESI en las instituciones educativas.
