Resumen ejecutivo. La escuela rural, enfrenta muchos desafíos en un país con brechas de desigualdades en lo referente a la educación, en el que el maestro tiene la obligación de liderar procesos para ofrecer a sus estudiantes una educación de calidad, en la que el educando debe desarrollar sus habilidades de forma integral. A través de la observación de los procesos que se desarrollan en la escuela, surge el interés de las investigadoras por indagar las habilidades relacionadas con la expresión oral de los estudiantes. Por ello, este trabajo de investigación indaga, por qué en algunas escuelas del municipio de San Antonio del Tequendama se presentan dificultades en el desarrollo de estas habilidades orales en los estudiantes. Las cuales se hacen necesarias de desarrollar porque a través de ellas el estudiante podrá interactuar mejor con el entorno que lo rodea, ya que permite la construcción de conocimientos puesto que no es una simple herramienta técnica o mecanismo para transmitir mensajes, sino que es un medio para mantener el orden político y económico de la sociedad, y su implementación es importante en el proceso educativo porque hace que el estudiante construya un discurso argumentativo y critico a partir de las experiencias. Por este motivo, se realizó este trabajo investigativo, con el fin de que a través de la metodología de estudio de caso se permite extraer del contexto experiencias que evidencien ?Cómo favorecen las acciones institucionales pedagógicas el desarrollo de la expresión oral de los estudiantes del grado cuarto de las escuelas Santafé y Quebrada Grande? contando con la voz del directivo, docentes, estudiantes y padres de familia, para ser contrastada con los documentos institucionales, para encontrar las fortalezas y dificultades de la expresión oral con la intención de ofrecerle a la I.E.D. recomendaciones a partir de los hallazgos encontrados.

La problemática de esta tesis surge en respuesta a la investigación previa de Barrera (2018), la cual, a través de un estudio de casos en el que utiliza entrevistas y análisis documental, describe las falencias de la expresión oral que tienen los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Departamental San Antonio Del Tequendama en adelante (IED SAT). Por tal motivo, el primer objetivo de la presente investigación fue identificar los factores que incidían en la expresión oral de los estudiantes de la sede Escuela Rural Unitaria Quebrada Grande, que es la sede rural de la institución donde se llevó a cabo la investigación mencionada. Para lograr lo anterior, recolecté información a través del diseño y aplicación de entrevistas, además de las notas de campo trabajadas que me permitieron hacer visibles ciertas falencias que dificultaban el desarrollo de la expresión oral de los estudiantes en su proceso de formación en el aula de clase...
