Mr. Toelen’s work is based on his life. His poetry has been inspired by the love of his life. He found in Candice his lost soul mate. After five years he found her back on the Internet. Feeling love, happiness and sorrow of this girl and her son. The people in his life, the hurt of losing love. Broken friendship, and more feeling are written. To bring you laughter and tears in each single poem. Many people have already read his work. It has inspired them deeply. He’s been through tough lessons in his life. It encourages him to write with his heart. He thanks his Friends and Family. For all the support they have given him. God bless you all. This book is a revised version of my first book, The Westerners; that was published in 2005. The book also comprises of poems written by the author at the end of the book. The book focuses on bullying behaviors, peer pressures and a guide to effective ways of coping. Although the experience of bullying depicted in this book occurred in High school, bullying does occur to many children around the world from elementary school into adult life comprising of work and relationships. I have experienced it first hand as a high school student, as an adult in my work areas, and I have seen my children also experience it. I find it a duty to heighten the awareness of bullying and peer pressures once again with the hope that young people will learn and cope in a more effective way. In the book, Selom, a foreign student from Africa tells her story about her encounter with bullying and peer pressures at first hand. In her ability to cope in an effective manner, she found strength in recognizing her good qualities over the bad qualities of the bullies. She found strength in engaging in activities in and outside of her school, and she engaged in activities that she was passionate about such as writing. Her experience is not only told in a story telling manner, she also expressed herself through her poems. I hope that anyone who has been bullied can relate to this girls' story. Anyone who is being bullied can recognize it as a problem, and lastly be guided to overcome the powers of big bullies. This is based on a true life’s story.

'Full of heart.' Michael Harris, author of Solitude Being alone isn't something to endure - it's something to relish. ________ The average adult spends about a third of his or her waking time alone. Yet research suggests we aren't very good at using, never mind enjoying, alone time. Rising to the challenge, travel writer Stephanie Rosenbloom explores the joys and benefits of being alone in four mouth-watering journeys to the cities of Paris, Istanbul, Florence and New York, in four seasons. This is a book about the pleasures and benefits of savouring the moment, examining things closely, using all your senses to take in your surroundings, whether travelling to faraway places or walking the streets of your own city. Through on-the-ground observations and anecdotes, and drawing on the thinking of artists, writers and innovators who have cherished solitude, Alone Time illuminates the psychological arguments for alone time and lays bare the magic of going solo.

Within this quartet of books that I have titled The Four Seasons of The Heart, I will share the deepest pivotal parts of my journey as a recovering alcoholic/addict and survivor of childhood abuse with you. One day at a time, I have lived clean and sober consistently since 1995. However, allowing myself to emotionally grow by not just giving but also receiving love and to genuinely feel deserving of my life’s hard-earned rewards, has presented many challenges. Please allow me as we journey through these pages together to suggest ways that we can heal our heart, dust off our doubt, intercept self-sabotage and invest in self-respect.
