"...Freedom, Justice, and Hope seeks to present the biblical worldview and essential principles for effective work in relief and development. It exposes the tragic failure of "Liberation Theology", social engineering, and utopian ideology. But beyond this, it points to practical solutions that will change lives and cultures at the deepest level--through the transforming power of the gospel--and give practical assistance to those in need." This book will hopefully bring the justice that should have been done in the first place. It has been a long ride of being hungry and lonely for the author. I really hope justice will come, and he will finally be happy and be with his kids again. It's been so long I wonder, do his kids even know him anymore? I know it's been a long battle for him. But we all know God got him.

The information contained in this book contradicts nearly everything you've been led to believe about democracy and "representative government." Based on the groundbreaking research of respected historian Carroll Quigley, "Tragedy and Hope 101" reveals an unimaginably devious political system, skillfully manipulated by a handful of elite, which is undermining freedom and democracy as we know it. The goal of those who control the system, in Quigley's own words, is to dominate "all habitable portions of the world." Using deception, theft, and violence, they have achieved more toward this goal than any rulers in human history. However, the Information Age is quickly derailing their plans. The immorality of their system, and those who serve it, has become nearly impossible to hide. Awareness and resistance are growing...Tragedy is yielding to hope.

Born out of an engagement with anti-racist feminist struggles as women of color from the Global South, Feminist Freedom Warriors (FFW) is a project showcasing cross-generational histories of feminist activism addressing economic, anti-racist, social justice, and anti-capitalist issues across national borders. This feminist reader is a companion to the FFW video archive project that is currently available online. Using text and images, the book presents short narratives from the women featured in the FFW project and illustrates the intersecting struggles for justice in the fight against oppression. These are stories of sister-comrades, whose ideas, words, actions, and visions of economic and social justice continue to inspire a new generation of women activists.

"On the Other Side of Freedom reveals the mind and motivations of a young man who has risen to the fore of millennial activism through study, discipline, and conviction. His belief in a world that can be made better, one act at a time, powers his narratives and opens up a view on the costs, consequences, and rewards of leading a movement."--Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Named one of the best books of the year by NPR and Esquire Finalist for the Lambda Literary Award From the internationally recognized civil rights activist/organizer and host of the podcast Pod Save the People, a meditation on resistance, justice, and freedom, and an intimate portrait of a movement from the front lines. In August 2014, twenty-nine-year-old activist DeRay Mckesson stood with hundreds of others on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, to push a message of justice and accountability. These protests, and others like them in cities across the country, resulted in the birth of the Black Lives Matter movement. Now, in his first book, Mckesson lays down the intellectual, pragmatic, and political framework for a new liberation movement. Continuing a conversation about activism, resistance, and justice that embraces our nation's complex history, he dissects how deliberate oppression persists, how racial injustice strips our lives of promise, and how technology has added a new dimension to mass action and social change. He argues that our best efforts to combat injustice have been stunted by the belief that racism's wounds are history, and suggests that intellectual purity has curtailed optimistic realism. The book offers a new framework and language for understanding the nature of oppression. With it, we can begin charting a course to dismantle the obvious and subtle structures that limit freedom. Honest, courageous, and imaginative, On the Other Side of Freedom is a work brimming with hope. Drawing from his own experiences as an activist, organizer, educator, and public official, Mckesson exhorts all Americans to work to dismantle the legacy of racism and to imagine the best of what is possible. Honoring the voices of a new generation of activists, On the Other Side of Freedom is a visionary's call to take responsibility for imagining, and then building, the world we want to live in.

Too many people everywhere are angry with their governments. Some would even tell you they are mad. People are frustrated because they feel their elites and governments failed to provide them the basic services that governments are supposed to provide: freedom, peace and security, trusted civil service, and above all an economy and a socio-economic environment that help citizens to work, provide food, education and health services for their families. Many feel the dreams they were pursuing became nightmares. That the political elites, oftentimes beholden to their self-interest while paying lip service to the common good and to money, are bankrupting our moral capital and international goodwill. Governments, systems, and bureaucracies are perceived as incompetent, corrupt, and rigged in favor of the 1% rich, thus keeping the 99% poor hostage. In essence, many people believed that what we now have is a system of modern day slavery where the rich exploit and enslave the poor. Whence the call for revolution to fundamentally change the greed-centered ideologies of tyranny, oppression, and exploitation on which the status quo is founded. Humanity is at a crossroads. We either climb to the mountaintop or slide down to the valleys of death. ere would be hope if we revisit and critically evaluate the official narrative of history imposed by "the victors". There would be hope if we start a genuine conversation about narratives. There would be hope if we start a culture of careful listening. There would be hope if we seek to attain a deeper human understanding of life and the real meaning of the pursuit of happiness. It is time to learn the lessons of old, engage in a rethinking of the human story of barbarism and civilization, and invest in serving the common good of all people. When people open their minds and hearts, they can attain a new awakening and a liberation capable of leading us to realize, at this eleventh hour, a New 21st Century Humanism whose time has come. This has been the author's vision and life's purpose and journey that powered his passion for life's beauty and gave him the bliss of inner peace he wishes for all of humanity.
