Frequency Domain Criteria for Absolute Stability presents some generalizations of the well-known Popov solution to the absolute stability problem proposed by Lur'e and Postnikov in 1944. This book is divided into nine chapters that focus on the application of Lyapunov's direct method to generate frequency domain criteria for stability. The first eight chapters explore the systems with a single nonlinear function or time-varying parameter. These chapters also discuss the development of stability criteria for these systems, the sufficiency theorems, and Lyapunov function. Some of the theorems applied to a damped version of the Mathieu equation and to a nonlinear equation derived from it are also covered. The concluding chapter deals with systems with multiple nonlinearities or time-varying gains. This chapter also outlines the basic definitions and tools, as well as the derivation of stability criteria. This work will serve as a reference for research courses concerning stability problems related to the absolute stability problem of Lur'e and Postnikov. Engineers and applied mathematicians will also find this book invaluable.

Error Coding For Arithmetic Processors written by T.R.N. Rao and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1974-01-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Error Coding for Arithmetic Processors provides an understanding of arithmetically invariant codes as a primary technique of fault-tolerant computing by discussing the progress in arithmetic coding theory. The book provides an introduction to arithmetic error code, single-error detection, and long-distance codes. It also discusses algebraic structures, linear congruences, and residues. Organized into eight chapters, this volume begins with an overview of the mathematical background in number theory, algebra, and error control techniques. It then explains the basic mathematical models on a register and its number representation system. The reader is also introduced to arithmetic processors, as well as to error control techniques. The text also explores the functional units of a digital computer, including control unit, arithmetic processor, memory unit, program unit, and input/output unit. Students in advanced undergraduate or graduate level courses, researchers, and readers who are interested in applicable knowledge on arithmetic codes will find this book extremely useful.

Radar Target Detection written by Daniel Meyers and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-02 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Radar Target Detection: Handbook of Theory and Practice covers a set of graphical solutions to the detection problem, designated as Meyer Plots, for radar systems design. A radar system's major purpose is the detection and location of an object by means of a return signal, which could be either a reflection or a beacon. This book is composed of four chapters. Chapter 1 presents the basic radar range equation, which is the basic relationship which permits the calculation of echo signal strength from measurable or known parameters of the radar transmitter, antenna, propagation path, and target. Chapter 2 provides examples for determining statistical signal detection using Meyer Plots, particularly for determining detection probability and integration loss and efficiency. Chapter 3 describes the application of target models to determination of detection probability. Chapter 4 examines how Meyer Plots can be used to solve problems involving most any target model.

Feedback Systems Input Output Properties written by C.A. Desoer and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-02 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Feedback Systems: Input-output Properties deals with the basic input-output properties of feedback systems. Emphasis is placed on multiinput-multioutput feedback systems made of distributed subsystems, particularly continuous-time systems. Topics range from memoryless nonlinearities to linear systems, the small gain theorem, and passivity. Norms and general theorems are also considered. This book is comprised of six chapters and begins with an overview of a few simple facts about feedback systems and simple examples of nonlinear systems that illustrate the important distinction between the questions of existence, uniqueness, continuous dependence, and boundedness with respect to bounded input and output. The next chapter describes a number of useful properties of norms and induced norms and of normed spaces. Several theorems are then presented, along with the main results concerning linear systems. These results are used to illustrate the applications of the small gain theorem to different classes of systems. The final chapter outlines the framework necessary to discuss passivity and demonstrate the applications of the passivity theorem. This monograph will be a useful resource for mathematically inclined engineers interested in feedback systems, as well as undergraduate engineering students.

Introduction To Statistical Pattern Recognition written by Keinosuke Fukunaga and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1972 with Computers categories.
This completely revised second edition presents an introduction to statistical pattern recognition. Pattern recognition in general covers a wide range of problems: it is applied to engineering problems, such as character readers and wave form analysis as well as to brain modeling in biology and psychology. Statistical decision and estimation, which are the main subjects of this book, are regarded as fundamental to the study of pattern recognition. This book is appropriate as a text for introductory courses in pattern recognition and as a reference book for workers in the field. Each chapter contains computer projects as well as exercises.
