Fresh Eyes Solve Problems Easier: The Self-Love Relationship Project By: David Johnson David Johnson was born in the Bronx, New York, but he never felt like he fit in or had his own identify. His mother died when he was ten and his older brother died when he was fifteen. This was the point that David realized his purpose in life was to help people find the brighter side in life and to help guide them toward a better relationship with themselves and with others. David received his master’s degree in counseling and then his certification for professional coaching to learn how to connect with people to the best of his ability. After years of experience and trial and error, David now collaborates with clients to ensure that they become their best selves, not only for the people around them, but also for themselves. Find out more about David and Co-Lab Coaching at www.yourcoloabcoach.com. The lessons woven throughout Fresh Eyes Solve Problems Easier are not just random lessons David picked up from sitting in a classroom or reading a textbook. Instead, each featured lesson is packed with personal anecdotes and honesty about how David tried (and often failed) at implementing each self-love lesson into his own life and relationships. David now owns and operates Co-Lab Coaching, and he coaches his clients using practices similar to those found throughout the book. The lessons David presents will help the reader to realize the need for self-love in relationships and in life. David’s book offers a unique approach to tackling common relationship problems by first looking at oneself and the self-love we practice as individuals.

Mankind has invested vast resources (time, manhours, computer machinery sunk costs, maintenance, building space, heating, venting, cooling, and so on) into software for all kinds of digital and analog hardware for over sixty years. Far longer if you consider punched cards, and so on. In the end, most of the source code ends in the waste heap of history. Old code gets forgotten, rub- bished, and a new wave of developers is forced to recreate new versions of old ideas. People get promoted, graduate from college, and leave to get married; before they do they don’t have time, don’t believe in the priority, and don’t place the code where others can find it to make an important curation of their software; and by this donate it to future generations, worldwide, the society at large. If organizations, at the other end of the spectrum, would realign software for a legacy of centuries instead of product runs, mankind can preserve the sunk costs, speed up advancement, and make software impact far wider when it’s made in a reusable form. People move to a new job, and remake linked lists, factory classes, or ring buffers in the new language of the day, or within the design paradigm of the latest fad management. It’s kind of insane when you think about it, people spend many years getting a consumer product working, finely tuned and profitable. Then two companies merge, product lines are unified or obsoleted, and some or all of the intellectual property gets forgotten in a corner as one team is merged and the others retire to golf, or the pool. While filling in cardboard boxes of stuff as they leave, does anyone drag out the old tapes and floppies to make sure the new guys aren’t starting by reinventing the wheel?

Design Empathy Interpretation written by Ilpo Koskinen and has been published by MIT Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-09-12 with Design categories.
A new, empathic approach to design research, drawn from the informed experiences of a leading design research program in Finland. Design, Empathy, Interpretation tells the story of empathic design, a design research program at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, that has developed an interpretive approach to design over the past twenty years. As one of the leaders of the Helsinki group, Ilpo Koskinen draws on his own experiences to offer readers a general intellectual and professional history of design research, and argues for what he calls an interpretive approach. Design, Empathy, Interpretation shows how the group has created connections all across the globe, and how a seemingly soft approach to design research can be useful in both industry and government. Koskinen follows design research’s transformation from questions of usability, in the 1980s, through to the revolution in personal electronics and the “user-centered” turn of the 1990s. Using the research community in Helsinki as a case study, and moving between specific projects and theoretical debates, he offers readers a focused introduction to the major methodological and intellectual challenges—as well as the opportunities—of design research. He argues that all design tasks, however simple or complex, begin with understanding the way humans ascribe meaning, both as individuals and as actors in complex societies. Thus all design research must be interpretive at its core.A new, empathic approach to design research, drawn from the informed experiences of a leading design research program in Finland.

China S Design Revolution written by Lorraine Justice and has been published by MIT Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012 with Architecture categories.
The evolution of Chinese design and the major shift in the culture of creativity in a post-Mao China. China is on the verge of a design revolution. A "third generation" of the People's Republic of China that came of age during China's "opening up" period of the 1980s now strives for fame, fortune, and self expression. This generation, workers in their thirties and forties, has more freedom to create--and to consume--than their parents or grandparents. In China's Design Revolution, Lorraine Justice maps the evolution of Chinese design and innovation. Justice explains that just as this "third generation" (post-Revolution, post-Cultural Revolution) reaches for self-expression, China's government is making massive investments in design and innovation, supporting design and creative activities (including design education programs, innovation parks, and privatized companies) at the local and national levels. The goal is to stimulate economic growth--and to establish China as a global creative power. Influenced by Mao and Confucius, communism and capitalism, patriotism and cosmopolitanism, China's third generation will drive the culture of design and innovation in China--and maybe the rest of the world. Justice describes and documents examples of Chinese design and innovation that range from ancient ceramics to communist propaganda posters. She then explores current award-winning projects in media, fashion, graphic, interior, and product design; and examines the lifestyle and purchasing trends of the "fourth generation," now in their teens and twenties. China's Design Revolution offers an essential guide to the inextricably entwined stories of design, culture, and politics in China.
