El desarrollo de la obra completa pretende facilitar el conocimiento y comprensión de los distintos factores a tener en consideración en el proyecto y ejecución de una instalación frigorífica. En este primer volumen se han pretendido desarrollar los conceptos básicos necesarios en refrigeración, con especial hincapié en las formulaciones que permiten elaborar las herramientas de trabajo que en un momento dado pueden precisarse. Se lleva a cabo una comparación entre los refrigerantes más usados y se posibilita una selección adecuada de un fluido secundario. Se facilitan los parámetros necesarios para la estimación de la potencia frigorífica requerida y se explica detalladamente el uso del diagrama entálpico, tanto para las instalaciones de una como para las de dos etapas. El contenido, además de ser fundamental para personas que inician su formación dentro del campo de la refrigeración, resulta también de alto interés para los profesionales del sector. EL AUTOR: Inició su andadura profesional en el departamento de presupuestos de la firma Hans T. Möller S.A.(concesionaria de Sabroe), seguidamente adquirió experiencia en el diseño y ejecución de instalaciones en Linde Ibérica Industria del Frío S.A. dónde llegó a desarrollar las funciones propias de la dirección técnica. Posteriormente trabajó en Samifi Española S.A. y Sulzer Infra como responsable del departamento de producción de frío industrial en Barcelona. Actualmente desempeña su tarea en YORK Refrigeration S.L, estando a su cargo el departamento de ingeniería. Desde hace diecisiete años compagina su actividad en la industria, con la enseñanza en la Formación profesional II preparando a sus alumnos en el área de la Tecnología del Frío y actualmente los Ciclos Formativos de Grado Superior, mediante el desarrollo de proyectos de instalaciones.
