From the Cradle to the Cross From the Grave to the Sky is a book about the life and Times of the Lord Jesus Christ as he walked the earth more than two thousand years ago. There are four specific areas in this study that make up the foundation for this book. Phase One deals with prophecies concerning the birth and reign of Jesus and the circumstances that surround his life as a child. The bible does not elaborate on the first twelve years of his life so there is reason to believe that his life was that of a normal child. What is important to note is that Matthew gave a genealogy of Jesus; not only to show his lineage to David, but more importantly to demonstrate that he was not begotten by anyone but the Holy Ghost. Matthew chapter 1 verses 1-17 speaks of the lineage of Jesus but verses 18-23 speaks of his conception by the Holy Ghost. This is extremely important for him to be called the Son of God. Since Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost and he is called the Son of God, it is reasonable to say that the Holy Ghost is God. Phase Two goes a little deeper as we follow his footsteps from the river Jordan where he was baptized by John the Baptist; to a place called Calvary where he would be crucified. Jesus himself prophesied of his own death. Matthew 20 verses 18-19 Jesus said, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death. Phase Three will take us into the grave where the tell-tale signs of his return would be discovered. There would also be witnesses in the grave who testified about his resurrection. We will discuss the significance of the empty tomb and what it means to the believer. There is more on the resurrection and the disappearance of Jesus for eight days. Phase Four captures the disciples looking up into the sky because the Saviour of the world, the King of glory was on his way to heaven. There are several incidents that took place from the time he was placed in the grave to the moment he was taken up into the sky; all of which are instrumental to the faith of the believer. In this phase, Jesus speaks of the love that we ought to have for the brethren. In the gospel of John, he gave us a new commandment that we should love one another as he loved us. (John 13 verse 34) This was before his death, but after his death, he brought the subject back to the surface and spoke of the two aspects of Love; namely, agapao and phileo. There is a reason behind all that is written in this book. The Apostle John wrote, All these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Born into a loving, wealthy German family, Katarina Von Rahmel, protected and cherished, becomes a prima ballerina but finds her career destroyed by the horrors of war. Betrayed by the Nazi officer she has married, she escapes a prison camp and joins her brother and others as they fight back against Hitler’s regime. In the aftermath of WWII, they continue their battle against oppression as Berlin teeters on the brink of a Stalinist takeover. Becoming estranged from her family, except for her Catholic priest brother, Katarina abandons her daughter and marries again to escape the difficult post-war living conditions in the bombed-out city. Her new husband objects to her continued anti-Communist activities and eventually is able to take her home with him to Hawaii to begin a new life, but Katarina’s terrible memories from the war and her fierce independence cause her unwitting betrayal of the children she would fight to keep.

Pray One for Another is a book written to bring awareness of the urgency and importance of prayer in the lives of all people. According to biblical teachings, we are required to pray for each other; as well as those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The book also addresses the many hindrances to prayer and what we need to do in order to avoid them. For example, unforgiveness can hinder the answers to your prayers, and furthermore, short circuit your communication with God. Jesus said in Matthew 5:23-24, Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Unforgiveness can also prevent the Father from forgiving you. Again Jesus said, in Mark 11:25-26, And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. It exposes the intimacy of prayer and how it relates to the person of Jesus Christ and the authority that is associated with his name. Included in this book are a series of prayers that can help the Christian to develop a vibrant prayer life. There are notations and prayers on Thanksgiving, Submission, Salvation, Wisdom, Overcoming fear, Trials and Temptations, Troubled past and more. In all of these, Jesus Christ remains the focus of attention because we can do nothing without him. To him, we give all the praise and all the glory. * * * * * Customers from canada who is interested in purchasing the book can contact the author on his e-mail address to minimize shipping.

The Sermons contained in this book have been written by the author and preached to a live congregation. They can be used in their original form or as part of a sermon. Some of the Sermons are as follows: Because I Live A message delivered by Jesus Christ to his disciples concerning his return to heaven, and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Cleanse me of my Sins A message based on the story of David and Bathsheba and the dreadful sin of adultery and murder. More importantly, it focuses on the love and forgiveness of the Lord. Lay Hands on Her A message that demonstrates the importance of having faith in God when we seek his intervention in times of need. This message addresses two versions of faith. One that has to be encouraged; and the other that operates in desperation. Holy Spirit Baptism A message on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It addresses the types of Baptism as taught in the Bible and how they are administered. Who is Jesus? A very controversial message concerning the deity of Jesus Christ. When we ask the question, we still get conflicting answers which have even caused division among those who claim to be Christians. This is a very enlightening message. The Sower & the Seed A message about the Word of God and the heart of man.
