A agenda ambiental tem adquirido crescente relevância no dia-a-dia de policymakers, das comunidades científica e empresarial, bem como da população em geral em função da escala e escopo dos impactos antrópicos ao longo de diferentes ciclos de desenvolvimento ampliado do capitalismo, em especial com a significativa expansão das bases de produção e consumo em um curto espectro temporal de diferentes Revoluções Industriais entre o século XVIII e XXI. Partindo desta contextualização, na qual a agenda ambiental adquire crescente relevância epistêmica no espaço e no tempo, o presente livro, intitulado “Gestão Ambiental e dos Recursos Naturais”, traz uma visão caleidoscópica sobre a temática no Brasil contemporâneo com base em estudos de caso que abordam diferentes realidades do Norte ao Sul do país, explicitando assim um conjunto de desafios e oportunidades.
