Il testo prende spunto da una conferenza pubblica di A. Nazzaro presso il Centro di Psicosintesi di Napoli, è curato da M. Ventola (Direttore) e ha due scopi. Primo: esplorare il tema della "svolta di vita", che non è né cambiamento né miglioramento incrementale, ma radicale trasformazione del modo in cui vediamo noi stessi, gli altri e la vita. Esistono dieci elementi per accedervi, il cui perno è la responsabilità per il proprio passato, presente, futuro. Secondo: sviluppare uno dei progetti di Assagioli, offrendo una conversazione per una "svolta nella visione dell'educazione carceraria". Se i programmi "nel" carcere possono avere un certo valore, il cuore della questione è riflettere "sul" carcere: creare un contesto che possa rivelare l'educazione carceraria alla luce della visione transpersonale. Il futuro dell'ontologia carceraria (visione del carcere) vive in un cambio di paradigma: dal detenuto visto come non-funzionale, carente e insufficiente, alla visione del detenuto come attivo contributore della società. Ciò dalla premessa che sia detentore di un inerente "essere" da cui deriva la sufficienza, il potenziale e la responsabilità – di una comune "natura umana" di fondo.
