Dollar William is a satirical comedy set in America about money, greed, and their relationships in the wider context of the media. The narrative of the story weaves in and out of a drama that ties together the lives of a few individuals, who are all destined to become failures or successes within their own trials of this desire to win at all costs. Billy Williams is a financial consultant as well as a hardworking and regular guy, until his life is turned upside down when he meets an Mz Moonbeam Sunshine, who is an undercover television researcher for an independent program called Brotha Hollywood. It is in this event of their chance meeting that Billy loses his job in an unfair dismissal and is forced to take revenge against his former employer, a banking CEO by the name of Mr. Croakus Don Doyle, who, along with his sidekick and senior consultant Alfred Rockbottom, are hatching a plan to acquire more wealth through deceptive means in order to make substantial monetary gains. As the story develops, it turns out that Billys employers, Don Doyle Banking, are attempting to swindle the unsuspecting public by getting them to part with their hard-earned dollars by offering then an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime chance of doubling their savings, which is really a cover for the bank to accumulate more funds and gain an advantage in their bogus plot to get rich off the interest. The story also takes another turn when Billy meets a Mr. Garfield Mamaduke the Third, who is the rightful heir to a long-lasting legacy as being one of the wealthiest families in the financial world of banking, which also presents them with a financial dilemma, as Mr. Garfield enlists the help of Billy to attempt to bring Croakus Don Doyle and Alfred Rockbottom to justice.

Creative Learning in the Primary School uses ethnographic research to consider the main features of creative teaching and learning within the context of contemporary policy reforms. In particular, the authors are interested in the clash between two oppositional discourses - creativity and performativity - and how they are resolved in creative teacher practice. The blend of analysis, case-study material and implications for practice will make this book attractive to primary teachers, school managers, policy makers, teacher educators and researchers.

Garfield Todd The End Of The Liberal Dream In Rhodesia written by Susan Woodhouse and has been published by African Books Collective this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-04-17 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

Against the backdrop of a politically approved view that Europeans did little to further the Zimbabwean nationalist freedom movements before Independence in 1980, this book will help to nail that misconception against a wall. The story of Garfield Todd and his various roles as Christian missionary, liberal prime minister of southern Rhodesia, high-profile opponent of UDI and its architect Ian Smith from 1965 to 1980, will surely be an eye-opener for many young people in central and southern Africa, who may never have heard of this great man who spent his life in education and public service. The role of Garfield Todd and some of the people who worked with him has been effectively airbrushed from the pages of the official Zimbabwean story. Why? is the question. Susan Woodhouse gives us the answer by telling the story of a small but influential group of men and women who dared swim against the racial current in Africa after the Second World War. Its a story told with warmth, personal insight and often great humour. This Edinburgh-based author, who Sir Garfield said knew the Todds better than anyone else, has introduced a small but dedicated group of long forgotten activists toa new generation of readers.

Mickarl D. Thomas Sr. chronicles the challenges he’s overcome in A Prophets Journey through Midnight. As an asthmatic child, he lost two brothers before being born and was left to wonder why he was spared. While he grew up with loving parents and siblings, his father was illiterate. More challenges would loom—none worse than the death of his son, Mikey, at age seventeen. The words, “Mikey was killed,” reverberate in his soul every day. When he received the news, he fell on his knees before throwing an exercise machine at the bedroom window. Then he tried to jump. His harrowing journey also involved a divorce, a battle with prostate cancer, and contending with the death of his parents. In this book, he shares the pain of going through so many ordeals and also looks back at the obstacles he overcame during forty-five years in pastoral ministry. Throughout, he shares his belief that no matter what takes place in life, God is in charge. As Psalm 22:8 declares, “For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.”

These 17 essays from the seventh annual J. Lloyd Eaton Conference examine the relationship between fantasy and science fiction. They propose that fantasy and science fiction are not isolated commercial literary forms, but instead are literary forms worthy of the recognition reserved for traditional literature. Discussion of genre identification ranges from the standard forms of literary criticism embodied in Aristotle's mimesis and poesis to innovative and possibly controversial points of view such as a theory of humor, a philosophy of time, and a detailed analysis of Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat. The essays provide not only a detailed study of literary elements but also the historical treatment of the material, its commercial use, and its relationship to similar literary forms such as the gothic tale and horror fiction. While few of the essayists agree with one another, they all contribute creative insights to the debate.
