This book is about the general theory of relativity which is concisely labeled as general relativity. The book is the result of a rather extensive view to the literature of this theory over most of its lifetime reflecting various stages of its development. The book contains 129 solved problems as well as 606 exercises whose detailed solutions are published in another book that accompanies the present book. The book also includes a detailed index and many cross references. The book can be used as an introduction to general relativity at undergraduate and graduate levels. Unlike most other books on general relativity which are mostly dedicated to the presentation, justification, application and validation of the formalism of the theory (and hence rather minor attention is usually paid to the interpretation and epistemology of the theory), this book is primarily interested in the interpretative and epistemological aspects of the theory. I should draw the attention of the readers (and potential readers) of this book that "Simplified" in the title dose not mean "simple". The reader of this book must have a strong background in physics and general mathematics and should be familiar with the basic concepts, notations and techniques of tensor calculus, differential geometry and special relativity. So, it is "Simplified" for the proper reader and not for every reader. Therefore, I strongly advise against acquiring or reading this book by readers who do not have such a suitable background to avoid frustration and disappointment.

General Relativity The Essentials written by Carlo Rovelli and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-09-09 with Science categories.

In this short book, renowned theoretical physicist and author Carlo Rovelli gives a straightforward introduction to Einstein's General Relativity, our current theory of gravitation. Focusing on conceptual clarity, he derives all the basic results in the simplest way, taking care to explain the physical, philosophical and mathematical ideas at the heart of “the most beautiful of all scientific theories”. Some of the main applications of General Relativity are also explored, for example, black holes, gravitational waves and cosmology, and the book concludes with a brief introduction to quantum gravity. Written by an author well known for the clarity of his presentation of scientific ideas, this concise book will appeal to university students looking to improve their understanding of the principal concepts, as well as science-literate readers who are curious about the real theory of General Relativity, at a level beyond a popular science treatment.

The Epistemology Of Quantum Physics written by Taha Sochi and has been published by Taha Sochi this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-08-07 with Science categories.

This book is about the epistemology of quantum physics and its interpretation as a scientific theory in its technical form. The contents of the book are essentially of non-formal nature although the formalism of quantum mechanics is also investigated (rather briefly) inline with the needs and requirements of the epistemological investigation and considerations. The reader should note that a general scientific and mathematical background (at the undergraduate level) is required to understand the book properly and appreciate its contents. The book is like my previous books in style and favorable characteristics (such as clarity, graduality and intensive cross referencing with hyperlinks in the electronic versions). However, the book, unlike my previous books, does not contain questions or exercises or solved problems. The book is particularly useful to those who have special interest in the interpretative aspects of quantum theory and the philosophy of science although it should be useful even to those who are interested in the purely-scientific and technical aspects of the quantum theory since the contents of the book should broaden the understanding of these aspects and provide them with qualitative and interpretative dimensions (as well as the added benefit of the brief investigation of the formalism of quantum mechanics).

Spacetime And Geometry written by Sean M. Carroll and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-08-08 with Science categories.

Spacetime and Geometry is an introductory textbook on general relativity, specifically aimed at students. Using a lucid style, Carroll first covers the foundations of the theory and mathematical formalism, providing an approachable introduction to what can often be an intimidating subject. Three major applications of general relativity are then discussed: black holes, perturbation theory and gravitational waves, and cosmology. Students will learn the origin of how spacetime curves (the Einstein equation) and how matter moves through it (the geodesic equation). They will learn what black holes really are, how gravitational waves are generated and detected, and the modern view of the expansion of the universe. A brief introduction to quantum field theory in curved spacetime is also included. A student familiar with this book will be ready to tackle research-level problems in gravitational physics.
