Nach Angaben von alexa.com, das aufgrund des verursachten Datenverkehrs Rankings erstellt,fällt youporn.com weltweit auf Platz 772 und in Deutschland sogar auf Platz 273. Aber nicht nur youporn.com sondern auch zahlreiche andere Porno-Plattformen bieten ihre Dienste kostenfrei, ohne wirkliche Altersprüfung im Internet an und dank bezahlbarer Internetflatrates und Highspeedinternet passiert das sogar in einer sehenswerten Qualität. Nebenbei erhalten sogenannte ,Porno-Rapper‘, wie ,Frauenarzt‘, ,Sido‘ o.ä. mit Titeln wie ,Spreiz deine Beine‘ oder dem ,Arschficksong‘ auf musikalischem Wege Einzug in die Kinderzimmer. Sie transportieren dabei nicht nur stark pornographisiertes Vokabular, sie vermitteln auch gleichzeitig eine menschen- (insbesondere aber auch frauen-) verachtende Einstellung zu Sexualität. Jugendliche müssen nicht auf einen glücklichen Zufall, wie ihn Chandler und Joey erlebt haben warten, sie müssen auch nicht mehr nach alten Pornoheftchen in Papiercontainern suchen, sich auf der Suche nach pornographischem Input auf ältereGeschwister oder Freunde verlassen oder ,zufällig‘ auf die geheime elterliche Pornosammlung stoßen, durch den technischen Fortschritt ist neuer Input permanent möglich. Die immer stärker werdende Sexualisierung der Medien und der Gesellschaft und die damit verbundene befürchtete Veränderung von Geschlechterrollen und -stereotypen beunruhigt Jugendschützer und Pädagogen. Im Juni 2006 erschien im Magazin ,Stern‘ ein Artikel mit dem Titel: „Sexuelle Verwahrlosung: Voll Porno! - Wenn Kinder nicht mehr lernen, was Liebe ist“, welcher eine Welle der Entrüstung über die ,heutige Jugend‘ in Deutschland auslöste. Gleichzeitig erschien ein Buch mit dem Titel „Deutschlands sexuelle Tragödie. Wenn Kinder nicht mehr lernen, was Liebe ist.“ vom evangelischen Pastor und Leiter des Vereines Arche e.V. Bernd Siggelkow, der bereits im Jahr zuvor massenwirksam auf Deutschlands vergessene Kinder hinwies, und mit seinem zweiten Werk an Einzelfallbeschreibungen die schrecklichen Schicksale von sexuelle verwahrlosten Jugendlichen präsentiert. Die Jugendlichen leben in Familien, in denen nicht über die Thematik gesprochen wird und die Bilder als etwas Irreales eingeordnet werden. Viele Jugendliche küssen sich nicht mehr, weil im Porno nicht geküsst wird. Sie verhüten nicht, weil im Porno nicht verhütet wird. Pornos bilden für sie Wirklichkeiten ab - in besonders eindrucksvoller Weise dann, wenn es sich um Realaufnahmen handelt. Diese Studie beschreibt sehr eindrücklich und lebensnah den Umgang mit Pornographie und Sexualität von Jugendlichen, die in schwierigen sozialen Verhältnissen aufwachsen und der bildungsfernen Schicht zuzuordnen sind. Dazu hat die Autorin Jugendliche aus sozialen Brennpunkten verschiedener deutscher Städte im Alter von 11 bis 21 besucht, ihren Alltag begleitet und eine Vielzahl an Gesprächen mit ihnen geführt.

Nose reconstructions have been common in India for centuries. South Korea, Brazil, and Israel have become international centers for procedures ranging from eyelid restructuring to buttock lifts and tummy tucks. Argentina has the highest rate of silicone implants in the world. Around the globe, aesthetic surgery has become a cultural and medical fixture. Sander Gilman seeks to explain why by presenting the first systematic world history and cultural theory of aesthetic surgery. Touching on subjects as diverse as getting a "nose job" as a sweet-sixteen birthday present and the removal of male breasts in seventh-century Alexandria, Gilman argues that aesthetic surgery has such universal appeal because it helps people to "pass," to be seen as a member of a group with which they want to or need to identify. Gilman begins by addressing basic questions about the history of aesthetic surgery. What surgical procedures have been performed? Which are considered aesthetic and why? Who are the patients? What is the place of aesthetic surgery in modern culture? He then turns his attention to that focus of countless human anxieties: the nose. Gilman discusses how people have reshaped their noses to repair the ravages of war and disease (principally syphilis), to match prevailing ideas of beauty, and to avoid association with negative images of the "Jew," the "Irish," the "Oriental," or the "Black."
