El aumento de la participación de las mujeres en el mercado laboral, en la gestión administrativa y las regulaciones de participación en el mundo organi-zacional ha planteado diferentes interrogantes en relación con el efecto que tiene su gestión en las organizaciones en comparación con la gestión tradicionalmente realizada por hombres. Diferentes iniciativas por estudiar el género han llevado a caracterizar las organizaciones según la persona que lo gestiona y han dado mues-tras de las diferencias dadas en los resultados organizacionales. Es por ello que la presente propuesta de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar el efecto del género del gerente (ser hombre o mujer) en la cultura organizacional, el liderazgo, cambio organizacional, gestión del conocimiento, desempeño e innovación del 2015 al 2017. En esta investigación el género es tomado como el sexo biológico de las personas o la clasificación entre lo masculino o femenino, mas no como la orientación sexual de las personas, en otras palabras, se considera solo el ser hombre o mujer más no efectos de orden antropológico y cultural. Para la realización de esta investigación se utiliza una metodología con un enfoque cuantitativo y con un diseño no experimental. Se propone un estudio descriptivo que esta asociado a las características de las Pymes según el género y estudios correlacionales que permitirán conocer la asociación entre el género del gerente y el desempeño de la Pyme, así como el género del gerente y la innovación en la Pyme. La muestra del estudio está compuesta de 354 Pymes de Santiago de Cali de todos los sectores.

Planning and management for tourism growth is becoming essential in the context of sustainable development. Particularly so since many tourist destinations are facing severe pressures from tourist flows and activities. Such pressures are evidenced in terms of dysfunctions (congestion, environmental degradation, etc) which ultimately affect the attraction and competitiveness of tourism destinations. The development of tourism should be considered in accordance with sustainability principles. In this context respecting the capacity of the local system to sustain growth becomes a key challenge. This book examines the use of various tools to define, measure and evaluate tourism carrying capacity (TCC) - a tool aiming to impose limits for entering certain tourist destinations or using certain activities. Drawing on case studies from France, Spain, Italy, Greece, the UK, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Finland, it presents practical experiences of implementing TCC in various tourist destinations (i.e. historic towns, coastal zones, islands, etc). It draws conclusions regarding the measurement and implementation of TCC assessment and provides further guidelines towards a comprehensive methodological framework for assessing tourism sustainability in the future.
