As an 85-year-old man, nearing the end of his life, Caleb certainly had much to look back on and thank God for; however, Caleb was also looking ahead as he prepared for the final climb in his journey. God had promised him an inheritance in the land of Canaan; and by faith, Caleb sought to climb, conquer, and claim his mountain! In Joshua 14:12, Caleb's final words are recorded in which he makes the following request: "Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day..."
