The earth`s atmosphere is made up of different layers. Gases such as Carbon dioxide, Methane, Nitrous oxide, chloroflurocarbons, Methyl bromide etc. make the atmosphere work like a greenhouse. These gases trap heat emitted by infrared wavelengths from the earths surface.
