The work of the Reformation was never finished, because the various factions involved split apart from each other without finding any common resolution to the problems facing the medieval church. The conclusions reached in God is Not Like That have been formulated after years of deliberation, in an effort to stimulate thought and discussion among all denominations of Christianity today. Many problems that stem from these unresolved issues have been inherited by all denominations; for example, the author believes that the Athanasian Creed, while right in its original intent, has been misunderstood by everyone for many centuries. This has been compounded by the fact that for many years there have been growing doubts about the divinity of Christ and the doctrine of the Trinity, even among scholars and teachers, making it difficult for them to explain and defend the faith to an increasingly skeptical world. Meanwhile, its vocal critics do not realize that many of the ideas that they are challenging stem from mistaken assumptions from the past, not with the faith itself; it is urgent that these issues be examined and the distortions resolved. Diana Spencer is a retired Anglican priest, although the views expressed in this book are her own. I am watching Deon Cole who is an actor on the show Black’ish and a comedian. He was doing his stand up and he was joking about Black folk saying, “Won’t He do it!”. During the show he asked a white attendee who was “HE” and the boy didn’t know. Brilliantly, he explained to the white doy who “HE” he was and told him to reply appropriately. When Black people hear ``Won't He do it”, immediately they reply “YES HE WILL!”. Cole explained this to the white gentlemen, and spoke into the mic and said, “Won't HE do it?” and the white man replied “YES HE WILL!”. The audience laughed and applauded. Therefore, this book is for those who know who HE is. This book is for those who know how to reply, “YES HE WILL!”. More importantly, this book is for those who want to know who HE is and why is that. HE to many people is God. Not that God has to be a man or masuciline but God as the Ultimate authority. The authority in which Mom would say, “Wait until you Daddy gets home.” He is that authoritative figure that would make things wrong right. He is a Creator, and the God of the Universe and God of all Gods. Won’t HE do it is a phrase born out of the expericince of the African American Church. The African American Church is the parent of the current Church worship and style in America. Enslaved African created their own worship, culture, and fellowship that has stood the test of time.

What does it mean to be “like a child” in antiquity? How did early Christ-followers use a childlike condition to articulate concrete qualifications for God’s kingdom? Many people today romanticize Jesus’s welcoming of little children against the backdrop of the ancient world or project modern Christian conceptions of children onto biblical texts. Eschewing such a Christian exceptionalist approach to history, this book explores how the Gospel of Matthew, 1 Corinthians, and the Gospel of Thomas each associate childlikeness with God’s kingdom within their socio-cultural milieus. The book investigates these three texts vis-à-vis philosophical, historical, and archaeological materials concerning ancient children and childhood, revealing that early Christ-followers deployed various aspects of children to envision ideal human qualities or bodily forms.
