Find the courage to be who you are—not who you wish you were. Is fear holding you back from becoming your best self? Does it add stress to your day and keep you up at night? What could be different if you let go and started living brave today? Bravery doesn’t have to mean cliff diving out of your comfort zone. Life is about being brave enough—for yourself, for God, for your tasks, and for your calling—right where He’s placed you. A brave-enough life is one lived fully and confidently, with your shoulders relaxed and free from the weight of responsibility and the burden of trying too hard. Nicole Unice, author of She’s Got Issues, wants that life to become a reality for you. She challenges you to get real about where you are right now—the places where you feel too scared to change, too tired to endure, or too worried to let go. Through personal stories and practical application, Nicole will lead you on a journey to harness all of your misspent doubts, concerns, and fears—and discover what God is saying about who you can be. There is a lie trying to forge roots into the hearts of those of us that follow Jesus. This lie will steal our joy, ransack our hearts, and leave us bitter. We can hear the lie when someone denies the bravery that they hold as a child of God. We can see it when someone backs down from doing what God asks them to do. We can feel it when the strength it takes to be kind is fleeting. This lie can overwhelm us. It can keep us frozen in fear and make us walk away from doing what we know is right. This lie will keep us in the same spiritual place that we have been for the last ten years. Our enemy will whisper to us the lie that we are not brave, we are not strong, and we are not kind. But the truth that exists in God's word tells us something so very different and defeats every lie told to us. Through Jesus, we are brave enough to do anything He could ask us to do. We are strong enough to push through any fear and overcome. We are kind enough to show the overwhelmed person the love that was first shown to us. We have to learn how to overcome the enemy's lies about who he says we are and live in the chain-breaking truth about who God says we are! I think it's time that we learned to live this life as overcomers, victors, and redeemed children of God. We have to walk in His truth and learn to define ourselves by who God says we are! I am brave. I am strong. I am kind. So are you, child of God. Learn to live it!

Jesuss view of women was radical. So why does it seem like the Church does not view women the same way? Why, in so many parts of the world (including America) are women not encouraged towards their full potential as leaders in the church? Are you living with a very palpable tension between your roles of wife, mother, and career woman? You are not alone. The secular world attempts to embrace women as equals. We are equals in many ways, but we are not exactly the same. I believe as women, we are uniquely created for such a time as this. Let us lay aside the damaging judgements that we bring against each other (working or not, divorced or not, single, childless, many children, black, brown, yellow or white) and let us unite. Let us come to the table and have conversations about the strong, vibrant, thriving place the Lord has designed women to live in. We are His ezer warriors. May we be humble as we allow space for this new kind of conversation. May we step boldly into the conversation and even more so as we are propelled into battle. I see you warrior woman.

I thank my Heavenly Father for the opportunity to write this book for children. Children need to know how much God loves them and that he has a plan for their lives. Parents need to read and speak God’s Words (Holy Bible) over their lives, letting them know they are unique individuals on this earth. It’s time for our children to know to speak positive words, to think positive, to be brave, to be strong, and to be bold in Jesus’s name. Ephesians 5:1 states, “Therefore be imitators of God [copy him and follow his example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].” We need to intimate our Heavenly Father, so let’s start now while children are still in the womb. In Psalm 139:1–24 and Matthew 5 (AMP), children need to know and learn who they are in Jesus. Parents, it is our duty to teach them biblical principles to grow up to be strong men and women of God, knowing who they are. They’re our next generation.
