"Satan's Dare is different from any other Jim DeMint book, and it very well may be his most important." —Glenn Beck "Satan's Dare is a powerful story that will confirm the faith of Christians and challenge skeptics to search for real truth." —Dr. M. G. "Pat" Robertson The Bible is often presented as an antiquated document filled with mysterious prophesies, unbelievable fables, and arbitrary decisions by a God whose actions range from anger and vengeance to love and forgiveness. The Bible's creation story appears to be at complete odds with more credible scientific explanations of the origins and evolution of life. And believers in Biblical truth are further challenged by haunting questions about why a good God would create a world so full of evil, pain, suffering and death. Satan's Dare takes these issues and questions head on.

One day on Christian radio, I heard a minister talking about the ignorance in the Church today. He said they may know the stories of the Bible, but they do not see the big picture. That is what gave me the idea to write Gods Plan beats the devils plan. I saw the story as a format upon which all the Bible stories, as well as our lives, are built. Concepts are taught such as: we have a choice to do right or wrong, we can worship or rebel, there are consequences to wrong actions, the devil is competing with God for His creation, Jesus came from heaven to earth and back, and God sometimes says no. I saw the book as something children and adults could read and enjoy together, and also as a witnessing tool. After making copies and sending them to my grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends who have children, I received enthusiastic responses and suggestions to publish. Children are given stories and pictures about monsters, but we dare not tell them about the devil. Children should know what really happened to cause this world to be the way it is, but God has a plan, and He wins in the end.

A semi-fictional religiously inspired rendition, giving the life story of a young man who was born in unusual circumstances. His father and a mother provided him, with all the modern facilities of life and the financial support that was the envy of many, but the one and most important thing that he needed, which he was not given, was his parents. The parents that would provide him with the critical values of life, traditionally handed down from one generation to the next, which are the essentials of a sound foundation, designed to shape his early development and to mould him into a responsible adult. Hence a significant part of his upbringing was sidelined by trivialities, which lead to a secret lifestyle that spiraled into a downwards trend and later culminated in an explosive situation. Losing one friend and the determination to saved the life of the other, from fear of losing him too, got him into the worst trouble of his nineteen years of life, more than anyone could dare to face - the death penalty. Yet the political power with the accumulated wealth and influential of his father, along with the misguided love of his highly educated agnostic mother, could not deliver him from the course of justice, which was sure to take away and destroy the live of their only child. As Darren contemplated his diminishing future, with nowhere or no-one else to turn to, God in his divine wisdom, used one of the most unlikely intervention, to initiate a path that would open his eyes, so that he was able to see for the first time. His prison experience brought him to a reality check point and the intervention gave him life with his true love, because he choose to dear God and dare devils.

Does God Really Have Your Best Interest at Heart? Doubting His holiness? Thinking maybe you shouldn’t completely surrender to Him, that you’re better off in charge of your own life? Well, say hello to the father of these lies: Satan. He’s an old pro using the same brilliant, deceptive tactics to harm you every time—unless you dare call his bluff and refuse to ever be his victim again. In God Can Not Be Trusted (and Five Other Lies of Satan), you’ll discover how to recognize the devil’s six ancient tactics, and claim victory over each one. Your only hope is in the power of Jesus Christ. Because only Christ can conquer Satan. He already has. So flood your mind with truth, and begin to see the lies for what they are. You’ll never be duped by them again, free to live abundantly in light of God’s truth! Have You Been Fooled? God must be out to get me. I’m better off doing my own thing. Sure it’s a sin, but I can get away with it! Do you recognize these thoughts? Then you have been fooled. And Satan is laughing. Because if he can deceive you, he will destroy your state of mind, ruin your relationships, and steal your joy. Do not let him. Dr. Tony Evans equips you to recognize Satan’s conniving tactics and boldly declare his lies for what they are. Winning this game is easier than you may think. And victorious living in light of God’s truth is your daily reward! Story Behind the Book A common theme emerged as Tony Evans held counseling sessions with countless individuals. People seemed completely unaware of how the spiritual realm was at work in their lives. “They saw clearly with their physical eyes,” he says, “but remained unaware of the evil, unseen spiritual activity that either caused or aggravated their physical world. Even in my own life, when I faced challenges or struggles, I would often reference the physical system without first looking at the spiritual cause,” says Tony. “Thus this book’s message was born to more effectively help people understand and address their struggles from a spiritual point of view.”

The Devil A Very Short Introduction written by Darren Oldridge and has been published by OUP Oxford this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-05-31 with Religion categories.

Why do the innocent suffer in a world created by a loving God? Does this mean that God cannot prevent this suffering, despite His supposed omnipotence? Or is God not loving after all? This in brief is 'the problem of evil'. The Devil provides one solution to this problem: his rebellion against God and hatred of His works is responsible for evil. The Christian Devil has fascinated writers and theologians since the time of the New Testament, and inspired many dramatic and haunting works of art. Today he remains a potent image in popular culture. The Devil: A Very Short Introduction presents an introduction to the Devil in the history of ideas and the lives of real people. Darren Oldridge shows us that he is a more important figure in western history than is often appreciated, and also a richly complex and contradictory one. Oldridge focuses on three main themes: the idea of the Devil being integral to western thought from the early Middle Ages to the beginnings of modernity; the principle of 'demonic inversion' (the idea that as the eternal leader of the opposition, the Devil represents the mirror image of goodness); and the multiplicity and instability of ideas about the Devil. While belief in the Devil has declined, the idea of an abstract force of evil is still remarkably strong. Oldridge concludes by exploring 'demonological' ways of thinking in our own time, including allegations of 'satanic ritual abuse' and the on-going 'war on terror'. ABOUT THE SERIES: The Very Short Introductions series from Oxford University Press contains hundreds of titles in almost every subject area. These pocket-sized books are the perfect way to get ahead in a new subject quickly.
