"Understanding God's Government" dares to explore the nature of government at all levels - its pyramidal, hierarchical structure - within civil, religious, business, military, and social spheres, and then dissect the motivations behind their leaders. It is discovered that fear is usually the prime motivator that leaders use to gain and maintain control. The Creator's intended form of government for mankind, however, is a brotherhood based upon lateral relationships of love and concern for one's fellow man. The author delves into Biblical and secular sources to elucidate the nature of today's governments, elements of Godly government, ideal government within the ecclesia, forms of government that work, and their consequences. Additional articles are included, by former presidential candidate Harry Browne, Herbert W. Armstrong, James Lloyd, Norman Edwards, and the author. Learn why future government holds so much promise within this war-torn, unstable world.

God And Government In An Age Of Reason written by David Nicholls and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-08-29 with History categories.

In this companion volume to Deity and Domination, David Nicholls broadens his examination of the relationship between religion and politics. Focusing on the images and concepts of God and the state predominant in eighteenth-century discourse, he shows how these were interrelated and reflect the language of the wider cultural contexts. Nicholls argues that the way a community pictures God will inevitably reflect (and also affect) its general understanding of authority, whether it be in state, in family or in other social institutions. Much language about God, for example, has a primarily political reference: in psalms, hymns and sermons God is called king, judge, lord, ruler and to him are ascribed might, majesty, dominion, power and sovereignty. But if political rhetoric is frequently incorporated into religious discourse, the reverse is also true: many key concepts of modern political theory are secularised theological concepts. In his consideration of this important and neglected relationship Nicholls sheds new light on religion and politics in the eighteenth century.

"There are two kinds of rule on the earth... [and] there is a very striking difference between the two, and the comparison is certainly not creditable to man... In God's government there is perfect order, harmony, beauty, magnificence, and grandeur; in the government of man, confusion, disorder, instability, misery, discord, and death. In the first, the most consummate wisdom and power are manifested; in the second, ignorance, imbecility, and weakness. The first displays the comprehension, light, glory, benificence, and intelligence of God; the second, the folly, littleness, darkness, and incompetency of man. The contemplation of the first elevates the mind, expands the capacity, produces grateful reflections, and fills the mind with wonder, admiration, and enlivening hopes; the contemplation of the second produces doubt, distrust, and uncertainty, and fills the mind with gloomy apprehensions. In a word, the one is the work of God, and the other that of man." - JOHN TAYLOR - A complete and unabridged edition of President John Taylor's work "The Government of God." A re-typeset edition of the First Edition, with the original page numbers added to the text in [ ]. Comes with an Index made specifically for this edition.

Ours is a time of rapid cultural change with new economic challenges. People look to their governments for leadership and solutions. But what can and should government do to meet the difficulties that beset a nation? What can citizens expect from their elected representatives? What is reasonable? And what should citizens do? What are their responsibilities? This book addresses such fundamental issues through the eyes of Scripture and against the backdrop of North America's dual heritage of Christianity and humanism. Government, politics, and the Bible do not seem like a good mix. But as this book aims to show, the Bible has much wisdom to teach us about the place and role of government and its citizens. Biblical principles work because God knows how his world and his servant governments are supposed to function. After all, he ordained the governing authorities, and the principles enunciated in his Word are timeless and remain practical. This book introduces fundamental biblical principles that apply to government and politics. The intent is to inform and to motivate the reader to get involved where possible in the political processes of the day. Our legislators need the input and help from their knowledgable Christian constituents.

The greatest tragedy in this end-time is the falling away of God’s own Laodicean Church (Rev. 3:14-22). The Laodiceans, comprised of several groups, are deceived on many different issues. But there is one issue that ALL of the Laodiceans are deceived on: God’s government! And it is the most important subject in the Bible! This booklet will explain how Christ is the Head of His spiritual body, the Church. He looks after and protects His family, if they respond to Him. The Bible indicates that 50 percent of the lukewarm Laodiceans will die for all eternity! The other 50 percent experience the greatest suffering ever on this Earth. Remember, these are God’s own people. You can’t afford not to understand this subject! Divine Government written by R. T. France and has been published by Regent College Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003 with Religion categories.

R.T. France believes that much of today's popular use of "kingdom" language runs the risk of distorting Jesus' words, and trivializing the depth and richness of his teaching. This book will help many Christians avoid that risk, while also providing helpful and persuasive answers to a range of questions thrown up by modern scholarship. What would "the Kingdom of God" have meant to Mark's first readers? Is "kingdom" the best translation? What did Jesus mean when he said the kingdom would come "with power"? And what are we to make of those passages which seem to predict the coming of the "Son of Man" within the lifetime of the first disciples? R. T. France has taught at London Bible College and was principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, from 1989 to 1995. He is the author of Matthew in the Tyndale New Testament Commentary series, The Evidence for Jesus, The Living God, and Jesus and the Old Testament.

Voting is an opportunity to promote, protect, and preserve godly government. Passing up this opportunity means allowing those who would degrade the name of Christ to have their way in our lives. The Bible is clear, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established" (Romans 13:1). Since the Bible commands that we are to submit to government, we must ask ourselves: to what type of government do we want to submit? God in Government compellingly answers this question and covers other related subjects - often from a historical perspective. The book's emphasis is on how and why the United States has gone from being a Christian nation to a culture of secular humanism. How events like the Industrial Revolution and the Great Depression continue to impact our worldview and the way we vote. The reader will discover the true differences between the political parties, and why groups like labor unions, school teachers, and the media tend to align themselves with a particular party. Among other topics, we examine the Christian roots of capitalism and the truth behind the "separation of church and state." The book covers social issues like legalized abortion, gay rights, and welfare programs; and gives solutions and suggestions as to what Christians can do to get our nation back on track. RAY HARKER is an ideological activist and founder of God in Government, a conservative grassroots movement for which this book is the manual. Both the organization and the book are designed to educate and assist Evangelical Christians in the areas of civic responsibility and political ideology. The outreach provides lectures and seminars for churches and other interested groups. To learn more, visit www.godgov.org.
