The drive from Texas to Florida, without God's hand, would not have happened. My choices showed me it was not just about me but about my mom and dad too. My mother instinctively knew her son was spiraling out of control. The automobile crash brought him to the brink of death. God showed him heaven and then sent him back to give this testament. God watches over us, giving us free will to choose. This is about my choices and the miracles from God. The 240Z flipped three times crushing down on my visibly dead body. I was pinned between the console and roof. The crash results: three skull fractures, an induced stroke, partial paralysis on my left side, and permanent deafness in my left ear. After a mastoidectomy surgery in Paris, Texas, things did not improve. Talking and walking were difficult, and each day of my recovery had my mother getting more distraught. With each troubled conversation, she sensed my frustrations. Mom was stressed with me and at home. She did the only thing she could do. She called me in an uncharacteristic panic telling I had to come home. My normally stoic father was worried about her, so I had to make a choice: stay or go to Florida. God gives us choices all our lives. I had been making the wrong choices, but it was time for God to intervene. My first good choice was to give up almost all I had in Texas and go home to be with my mother and father. I am human, so there was doubt when it seemed hopeless. Pushing doubt aside and trusting God, this trip was filled with miracles others would consider luck or coincidences.

How to make choices now that you won’t regret later. You may be wondering how you ended up where you are, whether your life would have been better if you had made different decisions along the way. Or maybe your current situation is great, but you’re facing some difficult choices. God wants to help you. Every day you and I are faced with innumerable decisions, some of which have the potential to change the course of our lives forever. Certain avenues open to us are marked with hidden pitfalls or lead in harmful directions. And in some instances the wrong choice can even bring death. Where do you go for direction? What do you do when faced with temptation? How do you decide what choices to make? This study answers those questions by exploring the role of Scripture and the Holy Spirit in the process, as well as examining the decision-making of people such as David, Josiah, Eve, and Jesus. As a result, my friend, I pray you will be equipped to make choices that bring honor to God and peace to your heart. --Kay Arthur The 40-Minute Bible Studies tackle vital issues in short, easy-to-grasp lessons for personal or group use–with no homework required.

2018 Christian Book Award finalist (Devotion and Gift category) He Holds My Hand is a page-per-day 365-day devotional. Based on Scripture, this devotional is written as if God the Father is speaking His words of comfort and protection directly over you. When Carol Kent's son was sentenced to life in prison without parole, Carol was consumed with grief, sadness, and despair. She was distraught wondering why God permitted this to happen. She had prayed for her son since he was a small child. He had been raised with biblical principles and daily prayer. As Carol tried to make sense of everything, she couldn't help asking, Where's God when it hurts so much? In the middle of her sorrow, Carol turned to the place where she had always gone for comfort--the Bible. She was desperate to hear God's voice. She soon discovered that the best way for her to "listen" to His voice was to meditate on Scripture and then write out what she believed He was saying. She wrote it as if it was His prayer over her life, and it comforted her. It was as if He took her by the hand, as a father would guide a child, and He gently led her in the direction of unconditional love, renewed hope, and fresh faith. Know without a doubt that God is with you and stands ready to protect and guide you. He holds your hand, and He won't let go. Listen to God's voice and put your hand in His. He is your Comforter, your Healer, your Teacher, and your Joy. Remember He holds your hand, and He won't let go.

In God's Hands is a fictional adventure story that shines a light on the growing concerns of the controversial topic of death penalty. The United States has always spent an extensive amount of money on its military to defend our country from foreign threats, and society has paid the bill. Now the cost to protect our citizens on domestic soil has been spiraling out of control. The flawed prison system and its revolving doors have the American taxpayers speaking out, "Enough is enough." The year is 2022, and the people had no choice but to pass the new law referred to as "In God's Hands." This law would do everything it promised: lower the crime rate, eliminate the overcrowded prison problem, and save the taxpayers millions of dollars. Michael James, a convicted bank robber, is about to find himself In God's Hands.
