The Psychology Of Golf Performance Under Pressure written by Denise Hill and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-10-13 with Sports & Recreation categories.

The Psychology of Golf Performance under Pressure offers contemporary, research-informed information regarding the key psychological factors affecting golf development and performance under pressure. Through the authors’ substantive expertise – all of whom are notable scholars and/or practitioners in the field of golf psychology – the text provides a highly accessible “real world” application of theory to practice, through the provision of evidence-based guidance regarding how to maximise golf performance under pressure. Golf is a sport that has embraced sport psychology, with many of the highest ranked players in the world (male and female) openly working with a sport psychologist and advocating their importance. As a result, an increasing number of high-profile practitioners are working full-time within the sport around the world, encouraging trainee sport psychology practitioners to pursue their career within golf. Accordingly, there is an ever-increasing demand for high-quality information pertaining to the psychological demands of golf; the key psychological variables that affect golfing development and performance; and evidence-based strategies which enable effective golf performance under pressure. This novel text provides a comprehensive portrayal of the psychological factors which enable effective golfing development and optimal performance under pressure. A theoretical review of the pertinent psychological factors followed by the practical application of theory for the provision of “take home messages” will ensure that this book is of value, interest, and benefit for golfers, coaches, golf organisations, and even the parents of golfers, alongside sport psychology scholars, students, practitioners, and researchers alike.

The Performance Mindset written by Kevin Sverduk and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-06-17 with Sports & Recreation categories.

When the science of golf performance meets the passion for excellence transformative results will ensue. This book will detail an easy to follow system to cultivate a mindset that will allow you to shoot lower scores and enjoy the game of golf to its fullest. Feeling stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of frustrating results, hard work, and more frustrating results is a common experience for many golfers. Golfers get stuck in two ways - first they don't accurately identify why they are making the mistakes they make and second, they don't have a system for fixing it. As a consequence, they meander from round to round, tournament to tournament haphazardly trying one new idea after another. There is no shortage of new teachers, new putters, and new training aids. What is clearly lacking however is a true understanding of what works and what will produce results. For that one needs a process-based approach that can identify a system driven by research that will be effective at demonstrating improvement. The Performance Mindset written by noted Sport Psychologist Dr. Kevin Sverduk provides an innovative, science-based approach to achieving golf excellence. Taking from his experience working with dozens of PGA and LPGA touring professionals as well as his expertise in performance psychology, motor learning, neuroscience, and mindfulness, Dr. Sverduk has created a proven system for helping golfers cultivate the performance mindset. Included in the book are dozens of specific drills and exercises as well as a method for putting together your own system. This book is a remedy for the golfer who feels he or she is not performing on the course like they know they are capable. The Performance Mindset will ultimately help the golfer create a blueprint for success.

Golf written by Jean-Philippe Vaillant and has been published by Editions Amphora this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with Golf categories.
