We all know the bad news. Every day, along with all the bulletins on social upheavals and terrorist attacks, we read reports of another animal species on the brink of extinction, of how our ocean fisheries are collapsing, and of the damage industrial development is wreaking on our soil, air and water. We drive bigger cars, eat pesticide-sprayed, genetically altered foods and consume so much energy that even rich, industrialized countries suffer power outages. We seem intent on continuing to live this way, even though many scientific experts tell us our actions are suicidal. The good news, Suzuki and Dressel tells us, is that thousands of individuals, groups and businesses are already changing their ways. A growing number of companies are still making money while benefiting their local communities. Anti-globalization activists and Third World villagers are learning how to practice real participatory democracy and create real community. Farmers and ranchers are sharing their land with other species, including predators and pests, while still prospering. Even some governments, local and national, are starting to base economic development strategies on our collective dependency on nature, while decreasing large-scale interference in our ecosystems.

This book is about explaining many of the mysteries of the past, the real truth about the past history of planet Earth, the evolution of mankind from primitive humans to the modern ones of today, a brief glimpse into the far distant future of the plans that God has for the new earth of Isaiah 65:1725 that is about to become a reality, and what it means to have ones name written in the book of life what is required so as to have your name written there (see Malachi 3:1618, Matthew 25:3140, and Revelation 21:14) and what it means to not have your name written in this book of life (see Matthew 25:4146 and Revelation 20:1115 and 21:8).

The reason the Good Book teaches the geocentric view is that the sun-centered view (whether it is true or not is beside the point) causes man to image God outside of eartth and up in the heavens away from man just like the physical Sun. The geocentric view puts man back in synergy with God, because it has God down on earth in the middle of all our Universe - the Flat Earth, and exactly where man lives. A geocentric Good News places the Truth (God, Love) in the heart of man as the sacred verse says: "The Truth (God) is inscribed on the tablets of your heart and not on tablets of stone or on paper with ink." He is that "light that every man is born with" and the One behind "every man's measure of faith."The Sacred Writings declare a flat "across the board," universally applied reconciliation just as it teaches a flat, across the board, four-directional and cardinal pointed geography. This is called a flat earth cosmography as referred to in the passage telling us to declare the Truth "to the ends of the earth." A spherical planet has no "ends." No matter where you walk or for how long you travel. In the false teaching, you can never reach any "end." Sacred Scripture teaches a limited (flat) earth where it has "ends" (or parameters) to reach, and then it teaches all things are renewed, and perfection is finally established. With a round spherical concept, the truth goes in circles and never reaches the final reconciliation goal of the restoration of all. On the other hand, a limited view of the earth with parameters restricts the truth to reaching a certain point (the four quarters) "the ends of the earth," and no further, where it finishes it's job in enlightening humanity. This brings in the reconciliation of all at the time of the end (telos). The following is one of the most, if not the only comprehensive theological analysis of the truth. All other "gospels" (Good-News) taught, as St. Paul said, are the "other gospel" and are flat wrong. Get the flat truth of the Good News by reading this book and never be decieved ever again.

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “The Uninhabitable Earth hits you like a comet, with an overflow of insanely lyrical prose about our pending Armageddon.”—Andrew Solomon, author of The Noonday Demon NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY The New Yorker • The New York Times Book Review • Time • NPR • The Economist • The Paris Review • Toronto Star • GQ • The Times Literary Supplement • The New York Public Library • Kirkus Reviews It is worse, much worse, than you think. If your anxiety about global warming is dominated by fears of sea-level rise, you are barely scratching the surface of what terrors are possible—food shortages, refugee emergencies, climate wars and economic devastation. An “epoch-defining book” (The Guardian) and “this generation’s Silent Spring” (The Washington Post), The Uninhabitable Earth is both a travelogue of the near future and a meditation on how that future will look to those living through it—the ways that warming promises to transform global politics, the meaning of technology and nature in the modern world, the sustainability of capitalism and the trajectory of human progress. The Uninhabitable Earth is also an impassioned call to action. For just as the world was brought to the brink of catastrophe within the span of a lifetime, the responsibility to avoid it now belongs to a single generation—today’s. LONGLISTED FOR THE PEN/E.O. WILSON LITERARY SCIENCE WRITING AWARD “The Uninhabitable Earth is the most terrifying book I have ever read. Its subject is climate change, and its method is scientific, but its mode is Old Testament. The book is a meticulously documented, white-knuckled tour through the cascading catastrophes that will soon engulf our warming planet.”—Farhad Manjoo, The New York Times “Riveting. . . . Some readers will find Mr. Wallace-Wells’s outline of possible futures alarmist. He is indeed alarmed. You should be, too.”—The Economist “Potent and evocative. . . . Wallace-Wells has resolved to offer something other than the standard narrative of climate change. . . . He avoids the ‘eerily banal language of climatology’ in favor of lush, rolling prose.”—Jennifer Szalai, The New York Times “The book has potential to be this generation’s Silent Spring.”—The Washington Post “The Uninhabitable Earth, which has become a best seller, taps into the underlying emotion of the day: fear. . . . I encourage people to read this book.”—Alan Weisman, The New York Review of Books

Coming Back To Earth written by Jonathan Cornford and has been published by Wipf and Stock this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016 with Religion categories.

Humanity at the beginning of the third millennium is faced with unprecedented challenges - climate change, species extinction, resource decline, economic instability and widening inequality to name but a few. Although Christians say that they believe that they have good news for world, there is little recognition that Christianity has anything distinctive or important to say about these global challenges. This crisis of relevance is reflected in widespread disaffection with the Christian church, both without and within. Coming Back to Earth is a collection of essays that examines some of the foundational challenges that must be confronted this century - climate change, urban life, agriculture and food - with the conviction that the great biblical narrative has something essential to say about each of them: essential in that we need to hear it; and essential in that it penetrates to the very essence of the problem and its solution. It argues that we can find in the Bible both prescient explanations for our current predicament and pertinent wisdom that offers hopeful guidance. Through all of this we are invited to re-think our understanding of the church and its purpose in a hurting and broken world, the reasons for the Christianity's seeming irrelevance today, and what might be required to renew the church as a dynamic, engaged and hopeful witness to the good news of the kingdom of God. Coming Back to Earth invites us to move beyond seeing the challenges confronting humanity and the church as abstract issues but rather to understand them as challenges that penetrate to the heart of our lives and our faith. Prophetic, personal, passionate and practiced are words that spring from these pages. Prophetic because these words are rooted in the biblical narrative and tradition that calls God's people to live an embodied faith. Personal through anecdote and family. Passionate for God's way of pursuing ethical living amidst the challenges of our age. Practiced because discipleship is to be lived in the everyday economics of our lives, enfleshed in practical and visible ways. Perceptive, is another descriptor, for this book offers significant insights into God's call for the Church as a social ethic, a community of reconciliation, in a world and Church at the crossroads. I commend this book's challenge to our discipleship. Archbishop Philip Freier, Anglican Primate of Australia Jonathan Cornford is co-founder of Manna Gum, a ministry in 'good news economics'. The two-fold purpose of Manna Gum is to help Christians reclaim an understanding of the Bible's teaching on material life and to help translate that teaching into the context of our complex global economy. Jonathan has a doctorate in political economy and a background in international development. Jonathan lives with his wife and two daughters in Bendigo, Victoria, where they are members of the Seeds Community and the Common Rule Christian network.
