In the Committee's report, the recommendations were not separated from the text nor were they numbered. In this document, they have been numbered in the order in which they appear in the Committee's report, with the aim of ensuring that the response is comprehensive. In light of these recommendations, the Government has decided to focus Canada's foreign policy on three key objectives: promoting prosperity and employment; protecting our security, within a stable global framework; and, projecting Canadian values and culture.
