The bed was the storyteller all the time. Just as the children, and anyone else who heard the stories, Grandma also was hearing them for the first time. Volume number one is the beginning of and explanation of Grandma's Bed being the storyteller from it's many different hotels, and stories only it would know because it was there. The stories have many twist and turns. There are stories of happiness, sadness, compassion, surprise, tenderness, suspense, Etc. Granddaughter Melinda takes over Grandma's bedroom and Grandma's role as the reader of the bedtime stories that the children quickly gather to hear at Grandma's bedside every night.

Communication with our children is one of the most important things that we as parents can teach them. The fifth story is that we shouldnt laugh at someone if they are hurt, and if we cant say anything nice then we shouldnt say anything. The sixth one is about a dog that was a bully, and would boss the old, small, and one that didnt care. The last story is about two bears one black and one white and how they cared about each other. I hope you will enjoy these seven short stories and that you will explain to your children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren the importance of each short stories.

When they go to visit his great grandma in the nursing home they stop along the way to his great grandma's room to meet and talk with some of the residents. They enjoy telling Teddy about their great grand children. Teddy learns that the residents are people just like his great grandma. He finally relaxes and has a good visit with his great grandma.
