Dieser interdisziplinäre Sammelband stellt aus verschiedenen Forschungsrichtungen aktuelle Krisen- und Diskursphänomene in Griechenland und in Europa vor. Griechenland hat zwar aufgrund der Staatsschulden- und Eurokrise ein enormes Forschungsinteresse geweckt, trotz alledem hinkt der deutsche sozialwissenschaftliche Forschungsstand aber hinter den derzeitigen Entwicklungen und politischen Debatten in Griechenland her. Das Anliegen des Sammelbandes ist es daher, einen ersten Schritt in diese Richtung zu wagen, um sowohl dem deutschen Diskurs einen anderen Einblick in die griechische „Büchse der Pandora“ zu ermöglichen als auch kritische Anregungen zum gegenwärtigen Zustand Griechenlands und Europas zu liefern. Der interdisziplinäre Ansatz verfolgt dabei verschiedene Theorie- und Denktraditionen, die sich gegenseitig ergänzen, um die komplexen griechischen und europäischen Wandlungsprozesse besser verstehen zu können.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Wirtschaftsgeographie, Note: 2,0, Technische Universität Chemnitz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Griechenland war in den vergangenen Monaten nicht nur aufgrund der chronisch maroden Staatsfinanzen immer wieder ein Thema in den Medien. Zum Haushalts-notstand gesellte sich eine weitere, diesmal humanitäre Krise, die sich größtenteils an der Grenze zur Türkei abspielte. Die griechischen Behörden kapitulierten endgültig vor der immensen Zahl von Immigranten, die in immer größerem Umfang auf ille-gale Weise in das Land – und somit auch in die EU – einreisten, und sahen sich gezwungen die Europäische Union um Hilfe zu bitten. Entsprechende Fernsehberichte und Nachrichtenmeldungen gaben für mich den Anlass, Migrationsbewegungen in Griechenland sowie deren Folgeerscheinungen im europäischen Kontext zu betrachten. Neben einem Blick in die Vergangenheit liegt das Hauptaugenmerk dabei auf der Herstellung eines aktuellen Bezugs.

Das Image einer Nation ist ein in den Sphären der internationalen Beziehungen äusserst relevantes Konzept, sei es auf politischer, wirtschaftlicher oder kultureller Ebene. Während es den Anschein hat, dass es in Zeiten wenig aussergewöhnlicher Vorkommnisse eher statisch ist, so droht eine Krise das Bild eines Landes drastisch zu wandeln. In diesem Sinne interessiert es zu analysieren, wie sich die Reputation eines Staates in Krisenzeiten in einem anderen formiert und welche Faktoren dies erklären können. Das konkrete Fallbeispiel Griechenlands im Kontext der europäischen Staatsschuldenkrise wird zur Beantwortung der Frage herangezogen und besonderes Augenmerk auf den Umgang und die Darstellung der Krisensituation durch die Politik gelegt. Mit Hilfe des konkreten Beispiels und eines theoretischen Rahmens aus der Disziplin des Nation Branding wird gezeigt, dass die Entstehung eines Images während einer Krise ein höchst komplexer und von vielen verschiedenen Sichtweisen, Darstellungen und Kommunikationsarten abhängender Prozess ist. Es wird deutlich, dass in Zeiten der Globalisierung und wachsender Verknüpfungen innerhalb der Staatenwelt, eine Nation kaum mehr ihr Image nach eigenen Vorstellungen gestalten kann. Eine Krisensituation, die weitreichende und für die Bevölkerung eines anderen Landes emotional starke Implikationen hat und durch die simplifizierte Darstellung der Politik verschärft wird, trägt nur noch mehr zu dieser Erkenntnis bei. Somit zeigt die vorliegende Arbeit, dass eine Krise nicht nur technischer Natur ist, sondern ihr vor allem eine kulturelle, identitäre und ideelle Dimension inhärent ist.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Politik - Thema: Europäische Union, Note: 1,4, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (Institut der Politikwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die politische Bildung: Die Rolle von G-20, IWF, WTO und Weltbank in der Wirtschaftskrise, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Fragestellung, welchen Anteil der griechische Staatsbankrott am Ausbruch der Eurokrise hat. Hierbei werde ich beide Seiten der Medaille beleuchten, sprich sowohl den griechischen, als auch den europäischen Schuldanteil. Inwiefern können also endogene (zum Beispiel unsolide griechische Haushaltspolitik) beziehungsweise exogene Faktoren (zum Beispiel europäische Gewährungs- und Krisenpolitik) für die Eurokrise verantwortlich gemacht werden? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, muss man sich zunächst die Ursachen der Griechenlandkrise (2) vergegenwärtigen. Hierbei kann man ebenfalls in exogene und endogene Faktoren des griechischen Bankrotts unterscheiden. Im Anschluss geht es darum, die Griechenlandkrise in den Kontext der Eurokrise zu stellen. Wie ist aus einer Staatsschuldenkrise eine Eurokrise geworden? (3) Das vierte Kapitel bewertet die griechischen Optionen sowie die europäische Krisenpolitik kritisch. Kann sich Griechenland selbst aus der Krise befreien oder ist es auf die Hilfe der Währungsunion angewiesen? Ferner geht es auch um die Frage, ob die Griechenland-Hilfe als erfolgreich bewertet werden kann. (4) Die Arbeit schließt mit Empfehlungen für eine nachhaltige Krisenbewältigung (5) und einer Schlussbetrachtung (6) ab. Inwiefern kann es gelingen, zukünftige Staatsschuldenkrisen zu verhindern bzw. nachhaltig zu bekämpfen? Die vorliegende Arbeit wird sich fast ausschließlich auf die jüngste Zeit nach der Krise beziehen und aktuelle politische Maßnahmen, wie beispielsweise die Ablösung des ESFS durch den ESM nicht thematisieren. Im Folgenden ist also unter Rettungsschirm die Europäische Finanzstabilisierungsfazilität und nicht der europäische Stabilitätsmechanismus gemeint. Die Griechenlandkrise und ihre Auswirkungen auf den Euroraum sollen hingegen weitgehend isoliert von der globalen Finanzkrise behandelt werden. Hohe Haushaltsdefizite und steigender Schuldstand sind zwar im gesamten Euroraum als Folge der Finanzkrise zu beobachten, in Griechenland hingegen sorgte eine unsolide Haushaltspolitik und ein jahrelanges Leben über den Verhältnissen zu den gegenwärtigen Haushaltsproblemen. Im direkten Vergleich mit den anderen „Krisenländern“ der Währungsunion schneidet Griechenland am schlechtesten ab.

This book represents the first extended consideration of contemporary crime fiction as a European phenomenon. Understanding crime fiction in its broadest sense, as a transmedia practice, and offering unique insights into this practice in specific European countries and as a genuinely transcontinental endeavour, this book argues that the distinctiveness of the form can be found in its related historical and political inquiries. It asks how the genre’s excavation of Europe’s history of violence and protest in the twentieth century is informed by contemporary political questions.
