Dazu werden auf Grundlage einer repräsentativen Befragung von Lehrkräften in Deutschland vertiefende Analysen zum kompetenten Umgang mit digitalen Medien vorgelegt, die aktuelle Befunde und Handlungsbedarfe in diesem Bereich aufgreifen. In diesem Band werden die Aspekte der schulischen Ausstattung mit digitalen Medien, der Nutzung digitaler Medien in Lehr- und Lernkontexten, der IT-bezogenen Einstellungen der Lehrkräfte sowie der Förderung von IT-bezogenen Fähigkeiten der Schülerinnen und Schüler behandelt. Ergänzt werden die Befunde durch Länderportraits und schulische Good-Practice-Beispiele in zwei ausgewählten Bundesländern: Thüringen und Nordrhein-Westfalen. Insgesamt zeigen die Ergebnisse, dass in einigen Bundesländern die Integration digitaler Medien in der Schule vergleichsweise weit vorangeschritten ist, wohingegen in anderen Ländern noch Nachholbedarf besteht.
