La obra y el pensamiento de Kant han sido recibidos, estudiados, analizados y desarrollados filosóficamente con gran rigor e incuestionable seriedad académica desde hace ya muchas décadas en el ámbito de la lengua española. Para ello se han reunido en este libro trabajos de destacado(a)s estudiosos y estudiosas provenientes de uno y otro lado del Atlántico con el propósito de exponer, analizar, problematizar y desarrollar productivamente los diversos aspectos del pensamiento de Kant. Para ello se ha establecido una división en cinco secciones. La primera de ellas se ocupa de la vida de Kant y de los orígenes de la filosofía crítica, la segunda lo hace de la filosofía teórica mientras que en la tercera se expone y analiza la filosofía práctica, comprendiendo dentro de ella tanto a la ética como a la filosofía política y del derecho y a la de la historia. Posteriormente, la cuarta sección se dedica a temas relacionados con la estética, la antropología, la geografía y la religión, para concluir el espectro temático de esta Guía con el trazado de las líneas de recepción por las que ha transitado el pensamiento de Kant. Esta obra se cierra con la presentación de una tabla cronológica de la vida y obras de este filósofo, así como con una bibliografía selecta que ha procurado ser lo más completa posible recogiendo los principales estudios, investigaciones y comentarios sobre el pensamiento del filósofo de Königsberg poniendo especial atención a la producción realizada originalmente en lengua española.
