Fachhochschule Landshut, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Hausarbeit wird dargelegt, was unter häuslicher Gewalt gegen Frauen verstanden wird und was Sozialarbeiter/Innen für Betroffene leisten können. Es wird zuerst durch eine historische und begriffliche Annäherung versucht, in das Thema einzusteigen. Im Anschluss daran werden die verschiedensten Arten der Gewalt genauer verdeutlicht, um ein Verständnis dafür zu erhalten, dass Gewalt nicht nur körperlich ausgeübt werden kann. Danach werden die gesundheitlichen Folgen anhand einer Abbildung verdeutlicht, um zu sehen, dass die Folgen lange anhalten können oder sogar in manchen Fällen tödlich enden. Darüber hinaus gibt es auch noch verschiedene Ursachen und Risikofaktoren, wie Gewalt überhaupt entstehen kann. Da bei häuslicher Gewalt oftmals auch die Kinder betroffen sind, soll ein weiterer Punkt verdeutlichen, wie die Kinder als Zeugen Gewalt zwischen den Eltern miterleben. Am Ende der Arbeit soll dann eine Präventionsmaßnahme dargestellt werden, wo das Frauenhaus genauer erläutert wird. Jedoch gibt es noch viele weitere Maßnahmen zur Hilfe von Betroffenen, die allerdings den Rahmen der Hausarbeit überschreiten würden. Diese Arbeit beschränkt sich auf die Gewalt gegen Frauen in Paarbeziehungen und ihre Kinder. Jedoch gibt es noch viele weitere Variationen von Gewalt, wie beispielsweise die Gewalt gegen Männer oder die direkte Gewalt gegen die Kinder. Gewalt in der Familie ist ein Thema, das Sozialarbeiter/Innen in ihrer Praxis immer wieder und in vielfältigsten Facetten begegnet und auch in Zukunft begegnen wird. Häusliche Gewalt ist ein vielseitiges Problem, das sich immer wieder in verschiedenen Varianten zeigt. Gewalt ist nicht nur ein biologisches oder persönliches Problem, sondern auch ein gesellschaftliches. Es ist eine gesellschaftspolitische Aufgabe, die Ursachen und Entstehungsmuster von Gewalt in Partnerschaften zu analysieren und kontinuierlich in die Öffentlichkeit zu rücken.

A health-care provider is likely to be the first professional contact for survivors of intimate partner violence or sexual assault. Evidence suggests that women who have been subjected to violence seek health care more often than non-abused women, even if they do not disclose the associated violence. They also identify health-care providers as the professionals they would most trust with disclosure of abuse. These guidelines are an unprecedented effort to equip healthcare providers with evidence-based guidance as to how to respond to intimate partner violence and sexual violence against women. They also provide advice for policy makers, encouraging better coordination and funding of services, and greater attention to responding to sexual violence and partner violence within training programmes for health care providers. The guidelines are based on systematic reviews of the evidence, and cover: 1. identification and clinical care for intimate partner violence 2. clinical care for sexual assault 3. training relating to intimate partner violence and sexual assault against women 4. policy and programmatic approaches to delivering services 5. mandatory reporting of intimate partner violence. The guidelines aim to raise awareness of violence against women among health-care providers and policy-makers, so that they better understand the need for an appropriate health-sector response. They provide standards that can form the basis for national guidelines, and for integrating these issues into health-care provider education.
