Harsusi is a South Semitic language spoken in the Jiddat al-Harasis area in Oman by some 500 to 1500 speakers. It is strongly related to Mehri, a language spoken in Oman and Yemen, with some 100000 speakers. There is very little documentation on Harsusi. The only work available was the H.arsusi Lexicon by T.M. Johnstone (d. 1983), who did fieldwork not only on Harsusi but on all six South Semitic languages in the early seventies of the 20th century.The texts on which T.M. Johnstone based his Harsusi Lexicon are published in this book. Or to put it differently: with these texts Johnstone's Harsusi Lexicon comes to life.

Kinderib (arab. Kender'b) ist ein arabisch-sprachiges Dorf in Sudostanatolien (Provinz Mardin), dessen Mundart dem Mh.allami, einer Untergruppe der Mardin-Dialekte, zugerechnet wird. Der 2003 erschienene Band Arabische Texte aus Kinderib stellt die bislang umfangreichste geschlossene Textdokumentation zu einem anatolischen qeltu-Dialekt dar. Er umfasst insgesamt 118 Texte, die Leben und Brauchtum des Dorfes beschreiben; ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der materiellen Kultur. Das Glossar erschliesst den gesamten Wortschatz des Textbandes. Aus den Notizbuchern des Autors wurden nicht im Text belegte Formen (z.B. Singular/Plural, Perfekt/Imperfekt) erganzt und in geringem Umfang auch zusatzliche lexikalische Eintrage ubernommen. Das Glossar zu Kinderib ist das erste ausfuhrliche Verzeichnis zu einem Einzeldialekt des Anatolischen Arabisch.
