So if you’re looking for a meaningful life and looking in all the wrong places, your life will not be consistent, neither will your joy. You will constantly try to fit in and make things happen for you according to your own standards. Our mind is where all the issues of life flows. Likewise, we must be careful what we believe joy is. Having peace in Jesus is tears of joy when you give your all to him. Example, when you’re feeling down, give your all, and when you’re feeling defeated, give your all through fasting and prayer. Don’t allow eternal happiness to interfere with temporary happiness. We all want to be happy and live happy lives, and yes, we are supposed to. But when happiness and joy comes only through material goods, we are robbing ourselves from eternal happiness and joy in Jesus Christ. God loves you for who you are, not for what you are not and don’t have. So don’t get sidetracked if you never gain the material things of this world that you want. This world is only temporarily. Eternal life is forever.

Do You Have Inner Peace and Victory Now, Not in the Sweet By-and-By These are some of my personal memoirs on obtaining the inner peace of God and his protection of my life from the 1940s to the late 1960s. And then I jump to 1970 and share some of the memoirs that I did not share in my first book, Do You Believe in Angels. These are real experiences in my life, and I believe they show the hand of God upon my life—as I am sure that if you look back on your own life, you will see similar traits involved with you. When stress or turmoil comes our way, we only have to retain it long enough for our brain to realize that Jesus said in Psalms 55:22 that we are to cast our burdens upon him. But most people would sooner keep them to themselves and suffer the consequences, instead of receiving total inner peace. I have learned to give my cares and burdens over to the Lord; in the earlier years, it took time before my brain kicked in to believe the word of God. As time has progressed, the duration of the time has diminished to the point where it is usually only a matter of minutes before my brain kicks in. Although I have had troubles, trials, and afflictions the same as anybody, I have given them to the Lord and can honestly say, “I have virtually lived the last forty years basking in the inner peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Unless, of course, I take the problem back from the Lord (momentarily), which I have done.
