CLICK HERE to download a portion of the chapter on "Scenarios & Solutions" from Climbing Self-Rescue featuring 5 different scenarios (Provide us with a little information and we'll send your download directly to your inbox) * Climbing self-rescue procedures for teams of two -- the most common climbing party size * Techniques equally effective on rock, snow, and ice * Utilizes gear climbers already carry in their rack * Includes 40 one-page rescue scenarios and solutions for climbing accident analysis The rope is stuck, or too short. A crucial piece of gear is MIA. You've wandered off route into dicey terrain. An injury leaves you or your partner in need of help. Climb long enough and finding yourself in a jam far from help is inevitable. In Climbing: Self Rescue, two long-time climbing instructors and guides teach how to improvise your own solutions, calling for outside help only when necessary. Because few climbers carry fancy (and expensive) search and rescue gear, all skills taught in this book use the items typically found on a climbing rack: rope, carabiners, slings, and cord. Text, illustrations, and photos explain knots, belaying and hauling systems, rappelling, ascension, passing knots, how to safely assist and rig an injured climber, and more. Roughly half of the book is devoted to real-life climbing scenarios and solutions ranging from moderate to severe. Because real-life situations rarely unfold as they do in practice, Climbing Self-Rescue teaches how to analyze and improvise your way out of a crisis.

An “exciting and well-written tale of contemporary witchcraft and romance” that will “please the legions of paranormal fans looking for a sophisticated supernatural thriller” (Publishers Weekly). When her widowed father dumps sixteen-year-old Katy Jessevar in a boarding school in Whitfield, Massachusetts, she has no idea that fate has just opened the door to both her future and her past. Nearly everyone in Whitfield is a witch, as is Katy herself, although she has struggled all her life to hide her unusual talents. Stuck at a boarding school where her fellow students seem to despise her, Katy soon discovers that Whitfield is the place where her mother committed suicide under mysterious circumstances when Katy was just a small child. With dark forces converging on Whitfield, it’s up to Katy to unravel her family’s many secrets to save the boy she loves—and the town itself—from destruction. Legacy is a compelling tale that is as believable as it is magical, and the irresistible romance continues in Poison, its sequel.

Family Of Families written by Milano Authors LLC and has been published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-06-23 with Fiction categories.

Family of Families: Spirit of Freedom, the first trilogy, was a fictionalized account of families over several generations. Though fiction, all the individuals were real, except for some of those introduced by a first name only. They were the everyday common people who all had goals of freedom and a better world. Though a fictional narration, places and dates were as accurate as possible. Some of the stories contained, however, happened as portrayed. The storyline was intended to reflect life as largely experienced by the common individual during their time. A listing of references provided sources for any reader wanting to learn more. It also provided credit for contributing to this story. A goal for this story was for the reader to explore life through the eyes of people as it existed during the American Colonial era through the Revolutionary War. The primary character was the spirit of freedom. This spirit was portrayed within the various individuals as they sought their freedom within the backdrop of a country seeking its freedom from England. As appropriate, there was a significant reference to religion and churches because such was the prominence of life during that era. Milano Authors LLC wished to recognize and thanked supporters who directly contributed to include Joseph Brehm, Ron McClain, Jennifer Thurman, Denise Rath, Ken Slaugenhaupt, Evan and Jeanne Slaughenhoupt, and Cathy Williamson.

How do you know when the rewards outweigh the risks? If you want to reach your full potential in life, you can't play it safe. If you're too risk averse, you'll be resigned to a life of mediocrity. But if you risk foolishly, you may destroy your life's work and legacy. But we can be overwhelmed by the sheer number of decisions we face, and the challenge of weighing the risks and rewards of each. In all this confusion, how can you be sure you won't end up asking yourself, what was I thinking? In this new book, David Ashcraft, pastor of a large and influential church, and Rob Skacel, licensed psychologist and executive coach, encourage readers to embrace risk and to live their lives to the fullest potential, in order to both run and finish the race with no regrets.
