Healing Pathways is a personal story with a universal message. Diagnosed with cancer in 2012, Mindy spent many years undergoing grueling treatment as the disease kept returning. Then in the middle of it all her husband suddenly died leaving her to cope not only with illness, but bereavement too. She explored many avenues in her quest to heal and cope with the pain and suffering she was going through. Her journey took her from top UK and US physicians to leading mindfulness practitioners, from pharmaceutical research to macrobiotic dietitians. Her search for answers came also from reading a wide variety of books and looking back on her own life. Through all of this, she began to understand that by internalising her experiences, she could achieve healing in a way she had not previously recognized. This book, written with great sensitivity and wisdom, navigates Mindy's personal journey from illness to wellness. It explores the many pathways that helped her to manage all areas of healing and move forward with hope and resilience, creating a better future for herself. There is no one way to heal, but every person has within themselves the opportunity to contribute to their healing. Mindy's wish is that Healing Pathways will help others in their own personal journey towards healing.

An effective revolutionary and new dual approach called Rapid Core Healing (RCH) is a succinct, holistic strategy for psychological healing and growth. In this innovative guide to assisting people dealing with trauma, conflict, and a wide range of emotional and relational issues, Yildiz Sethi provides an introduction to the dual approach of Family Constellations and Emotional Mind Integration (EMI) as RCH. Drawing from her experience as a Rapid Core Healing psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, and Family Constellation practitioner, Sethi developed RCH for effective therapeutic resolutions to emotional healing that follow rapid core healing pathways. Fundamentally RCH is composed of two methods: - EMI to facilitate the location, resolution, and integration of conflicting or disturbed parts of the psyche into the greater personality. - Family Constellations to enable people to find a healthier place with their family of origin, resulting in better inner and relational connections in the present. Rapid Core Healing Pathways to Growth and Emotional Integration is for those looking for a holistic approach to overcoming trauma, such as conflict management, emotional and relational issues, and sexual abuse or domestic violence. This book is a great resource for counsellors and mental health professionals and for those working on their own personal development.

Taking a new and innovative angle on social work, this book seeks to remedy the lack of holistic perspectives currently used in Western social work practice by exploring Indigenous and other culturally diverse understandings and experiences of healing. This book examines six core areas of healing through a holistic lens that is grounded in a decolonizing perspective. Situating integrative healing within social work education and theory, the book takes an interdisciplinary approach, drawing from social memory and historical trauma, contemplative traditions, storytelling, healing literatures, integrative health, and the traditional environmental knowledge of Indigenous Peoples. In exploring issues of water, creative expression, movement, contemplation, animals, and the natural world in relation to social work practice, the book will appeal to all scholars, practitioners, and community members interested in decolonization and Indigenous studies.

Critical Pedagogy For Healing written by Tricia Kress and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-02 with Education categories.

This is the first book to explicitly link healing and wellness practices with critical pedagogy. Bringing together scholars from Brazil, Canada, Malta and the USA, the chapters combine critical pedagogy and social justice education to reorient the conversation around wellness in teaching and learning. Working against white Eurocentric narratives of wellness in schools which focus on the symptoms, not the causes, of society's sickness, the authors argues for a "soul revival" of education which tackles, head on, the causes of dis-ease in society, from institutional racism, colonialism, xenophobia and patriarchy. The contributors provide fresh perspectives that address short-term goals of wellness alongside long-term goals of healing in schools and society by attending to underlying causes of social sickness. The chapters bridge theory and practice, bringing diverse historical and contemporary philosophical discussions around wellness into contact with concrete examples of the interconnections between wellness, education, and social justice. Examples of topics covered include: Buddhist practices for healing, Black liberation theology, hip hop pedagogy, anxiety and vulnerability, art therapy and story-telling.
