A Temporary Christmas Arrangement - Christine Rimmer Neither Harper Bravo nor Lincoln Stryker are planning to stay in Valentine Bay. She’s got big-city career plans, and he’s trying to figure out how to balance work and caring for his orphaned niece and nephew. But when Lincoln moves in next door and needs a hand, a cash-strapped Harper can’t help but step in. They make a deal: just during the holiday season, she’ll nanny the kids while he works, and then they’ll each leave town. But when they can’t deny the spark between them, will love be enough to have them both changing their plans? His Last-Chance Christmas Family - Michelle Major Widowed after an unhappy marriage, single mum Brynn Hale has finally returned home to Starlight. She’s ready for a fresh start for her son, and what better time for it than Christmas? Still, Nick Dunlap is the one connection to her past she can’t let go of. Nick let his status-conscious parents talk him out of pursuing Brynn in high school and he’s not sure he deserves a chance with her now. But the magic of the season might make forgiveness — and love — a little bit easier for them both... A Firehouse Christmas Baby - Teri Wilson After her dreams of motherhood were dashed, Felicity Hart is determined to make a fresh — baby-free — start in Lovestruck. Unfortunately, she now has to work with firefighter Wade Ericson on the town Christmas festivities! And Wade ends up at the center of all things baby-related in town — this time, a baby abandoned at the firehouse. Then Felicity finds herself moving in to Wade’s house and using her foster-care training to care for the child, all just in time for Christmas. A Soldier Under Her Tree - Kathy Douglass When her ex-fiance shows up at her shop — engaged to her sister! — dress designer Hannah Carpenter doesn’t know what to do. Especially when her former fling Russell Danielson sees her plight and rides to the rescue, offering a fake relationship to foil her rude relations. The thing is, there’s nothing fake about his kiss... but when things get real, will the sexy soldier once again stop short of commitment? Montana Match - Carol Ross Thanksgiving is the perfect time for Fiona Harrison to turn her life around. And she is sure finding a suitable husband will please her newfound family in Montana. When a dating app sends her every dud in town, handsome bartender Simon Clarke offers to be her matchmaker. If only Simon fit her criteria... Learning the truth about the twinkle-eyed charmer could change everything — but for better or worse? An Alaskan Family Christmas - Beth Carpenter Natalie Weiss is mortified. After mistaking handsome Tanner Rockford for his cousin, she’s followed him to rural Alaska. Now she’s stranded — until Tanner invites her to spend Christmas with his family in their rustic, cozy cabin. But in this idyllic winter wonderland, Natalie discovers the family she’s never had...and the love she never knew she needed. But what happens when they all discover why she’s really there? Patton, Jr. died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost seventy years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident--and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton takes readers inside the final year of the war and recounts the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.

City Economics written by Brendan O'Flaherty and has been published by Harvard University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-10-30 with Business & Economics categories.

This introductory but innovative textbook on the economics of cities is aimed at students of urban and regional policy as well as of undergraduate economics. It deals with standard topics, including automobiles, mass transit, pollution, housing, and education but it also discusses non-standard topics such as segregation, water supply, sewers, garbage, fire prevention, housing codes, homelessness, crime, illicit drugs, and economic development. Its methods of analysis are primarily verbal, geometric, and arithmetic. The author achieves coherence by showing how the analysis of various topics reinforces one another. Thus, buses can tell us something about schools and optimal tolls about land prices. Brendan O'Flaherty looks at almost everything through the lens of Pareto optimality and potential Pareto optimality--how policies affect people and their well-being, not abstract entities such as cities or the economy or growth or the environment. Such traditionalism leads to radical questions, however: Should cities have police and fire departments? Should tax preferences for home ownership be repealed? Should public schools charge for their services? O'Flaherty also gives serious consideration to such heterodox policies as pay-at-the-pump auto insurance, curb rights for buses, land taxes, marginal cost water pricing, and sidewalk zoning.
