You haven't read anything until you have read “Norman's Revenge” yet. Psycho touched on the subject of love and betrayal that resulted in murder, Bates Motel was too delicate. Norman is sitting on the bed watching his mother get undressed. No, Norman's Revenge goes much deeper than that. In Norman's Revenge Norman and his mother actually have sex. This is a story of lust, love, betrayal murder and revenge. The book starts out with Norma in the hospital having her baby boy. Norma's first pregnancy is as a result of rape. Norma's father raped Norma repeatedly ever since she was a little girl. After Norma's mother died from head wounds inflicted on her by Norma's father, Norma was the beneficiary of the abuse. When Norma got pregnant by her father, after being raped by her father for the umpteenth time, she had her first son she decided she wasn't going to take her father's crap any more. Norma knew her father didn't care anything about her and Norma just figured her father wouldn't care a thing about her son either. He used to care about the hotel but he didn't seem to care about that anymore. He just drank himself into a drunken stupor morning, noon and night. But just as expected when Norma comes home from the hospital after giving birth to Norman, her father rapes her again. As a result of this rape Norma is pregnant again. This has to stop, Norma thought. And it did. Norman grows up wanting to be left alone. He's quiet and soft spoken. Quite the opposite of his loud mouthed, demanding mother. Norman's little brother Nick is also quiet and minds his own business. After a series of incidents to Norman beyond Norman's control Norman lets people know he’s not a pushover anymore. Enough is enough. Now is the time for Norman to prove he is not what his mother turned out to be or tried to turn him into. Now is the time for Norman to get revenge on everybody and anybody who hurt, used and abused him, including his beloved mother.

This guide for actors and directors develops a valid method for training performers to act from their core--whether they are cold reading, auditioning, or performing for film or television. This book teaches actors how to achieve and respond to believable and honest emotions before the camera, and it maintains that the key to a successful performance lies in how the actors relate to one another and to the circumstances. Exercises, including script examples, throughout the book give readers an easy resource for practicing the principles outlined. The Art of Film Acting applies a classic stage acting method (Stanislavsky) to the more intimate medium of performing before a camera, teaching readers to experience an emotion rather than to indicate it.

'Daisy Waugh's featherlight satires are as refreshing and uplifting as a glass of chilled vintage champagne. . . Imagine Agatha Christie on laughing gas' Times The Todes are back, and they're taking on Hollywood . . . When Hollywood wants to do a remake of the film that made Tode Hall famous, India and Egbert are delighted. They envisage a summer of free money and star-studded dinner parties ahead . . . But the Hall is soon overrun by wardrobe trucks and catering tents, and lusty, insecure actors squabbling about nudity clauses. When the movie's producers threaten to sue over the exact colour of Tode Hall's rolling lawns, India and Egbert realise that having a film crew on their doorstep isn't such a breeze after all. With so many egos in one place things were bound to end badly, but no one would have predicted quite so literal a backstabbing . . . 'A glorious satire on aristocratic manners and mores, with a smidgeon of murder thrown in, Waugh's hilarious and entirely original twist on the country house murder mystery is 'a perfect antidote to all the real-life craziness going on' Daily Mail Praise for the Todes 'Ms. Waugh's novel offers plenty of satire, several good laughs and many dark chuckles.' Wall Street Journal Witty, well-written and determinedly entertaining . . . the perfect book for the staycation' Catholic Herald 'I couldn't put it down' Santa Montefiore 'A delightful treat' The Lady 'Deliciously entertaining' Andrew Wilson 'An irresistible champagne bubble of pleasure and laughter' Rachel Johnson 'A perfect antidote to wintry gloom' The Literary Review 'What a triumph!' Antonia Fraser 'A masterclass in how to write a rollicking good read' Sarah Vine 'A jolly farce that never takes itself too seriously' Red Magazine 'Fizzles, crackles and sparkles' Elizabeth Buchan 'A work of sublime silliness' Simon Brett 'An effervescent madcap whodunnit' Metro 'A marvellous rollicking read' Mary Killen 'She's skewered her targets brilliantly' Imogen Edwards-Jones 'This contemporary take on a golden age mystery is simply wonderful.' The Uncommon Reader written by Alan Bennett and has been published by Faber & Faber this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-09-04 with Fiction categories.

Alan Bennett's classic story about Queen Elizabeth IIWhat would happen if the Queen became a reader of taste and discernment rather than of Dick Francis? The answer is a perfect story. The Uncommon Reader is none other than HM the Queen who drifts accidentally into reading when her corgis stray into a mobile library parked at Buckingham Palace. She reads widely ( JR Ackerley, Jean Genet, Ivy Compton Burnett and the classics) and intelligently. Her reading naturally changes her world view and her relationship with people like the oleaginous prime minister and his repellent advisers. She comes to question the prescribed order of the world and loses patience with much that she has to do. In short, her reading is subversive. The consequence is, of course, surprising, mildly shocking and very funny.
