Church With Jesus As The Hero written by David Prince and has been published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-06-03 with Christian life categories.

"The goal of this simple book is to help Christians gain a Jesus-centered, gospel-focused mentality while reading and applying the Scripture and living together in the community of the church. Consider this book a quick start guide to help create a Christ-centered life and ministry trajectory. There really is a way to read, apply, preach, serve, and live with Jesus as the Hero that keeps the gospel of God's sovereign grace front and center in everything. We are not heroes; we are sinners, failures, and weaklings-- the not-nobles of the world. Attempting to become a spiritual hero or to cultivate a heroic image is an empty, vain, hollow, and hopeless pursuit. There is only one Hero-- Jesus-- and he has no rivals. When we start trusting him and stop trying to be him, we can say with Paul, "For freedom Christ has set us free" (Gal. 5:1)."--Back cover.

The world is going through a cyclone of uncertainty, and nothing resembles the normalcy we have known for so long. Nothing at all! Health and moral crises are soaring. Legislatures are enacted in open revolt against divine institutions like the family and the right to life. Armed conflicts are claiming lives at unprecedented rates. The enemy seems to point all his weapons against the Gospel and the Church. Amid this chaos, we are God’s chosen to live in a time like this. A day for the champions—when conventional battle strategies are almost useless—is upon us. The time for complacent Christianity or ritualistic religion is over. God needs heroes! Heroes of the Kingdom outlines features of ordinary people in the Bible and in church history who took up personal responsibility in the face of life-threatening crises and changed the course of history. They stood their ground, persevered by faith, experienced spiritual victory, and received divine approval as they faced dire scenarios with a level of spiritual dignity. This book is edge-of-the-seat reading for anyone burning to impact others for good and advance God's kingdom agenda on earth with boldness and courage. You will be significantly inspired through the life of the man after God's heart—David: he attained spiritual greatness through established heroism in character, leadership, worship, battle, and more. Could it be that you are the champion that God has prepared to silence the enemy today or soon? Would you choose to place Christ over culture and conviction over comfort? Arise, and become a Hero of The Kingdom!

"God had an only Son and He was a missionary." With these words, David Livingstone confirmed that he, too, would spend his life telling people in far-off lands about the love of God. This explorer, doctor, author, and missionary longed to see "the smoke of a thousand villages," because huddled around African tribal fires were people who might never hear the story of God's love unless missionaries obeyed God's call to serve Him. David Livingstone is one of 22 men and women whose exciting adventures will be enjoyed by the whole family. As you read each of these wonderful stories aloud during family times or on your own, you will see how you, too, can reach out to your world through deeds and prayer to tell others the good news about Jesus and His love.

Arthur Walkington Pink was born in Nottingham, England, to a corn merchant, a devout non-conformist of uncertain denomination, though probably a Congregationalist. Otherwise, almost nothing is known of Pink's childhood or education except that he had some ability and training in music. As a young man, Pink joined the Theosophical Society and apparently rose to enough prominence within its ranks that Annie Besant, its head, offered to admit him to its leadership circle. In 1908 he renounced Theosophy for evangelical Christianity. Desiring to become a minister but unwilling to attend a liberal theological college in England, Pink very briefly studied at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 1910 before taking the pastorate of the Congregational church in Silverton, Colorado. In 1912 Pink left Silverton, probably for California, and then took a joint pastorate of churches in rural Burkesville and Albany, Kentucky. In 1916, he married Vera E. Russell (1893–1962), who had been reared in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Pink's next pastorate seems to have been in Scottsville. Then the newlyweds moved in 1917 to Spartanburg, South Carolina, where Pink became pastor of Northside Baptist Church. By this time Pink had become acquainted with prominent dispensationalist Fundamentalists, such as Harry Ironside and Arno C. Gaebelein, and his first two books, published in 1917 and 1918, were in agreement with that theological position. Yet Pink's views were changing, and during these years he also wrote the first edition of The Sovereignty of God (1918), which argued that God did not love sinners and had deliberately created "unto damnation" those who would not accept Christ. Whether because of his Calvinistic views, his nearly incredible studiousness, his weakened health, or his lack of sociability, Pink left Spartanburg in 1919 believing that God would "have me give myself to writing." But Pink then seems next to have taught the Bible with some success in California for a tent evangelist named Thompson while continuing his intense study of Puritan writings.
