In der Unterhaltung geht es um Hermann Löns, Arno Schmidt und Herrn Natürlich, um das Gemächt des Toten, um Beischlaf und Mißbrauch vor der Theke, auf der Kegelbahn und auf dem Billardtisch, um Valerie Solanas, Abe Sada, die Zeitschrift 'Schwanz ab' und um Gott, der allwissend und "selbstverständlich Atheist" sein will. Vor 35.000 Jahren werden die bahnbrechenden Werke 'Poetologie des Nichts' und 'Poetologie des Universums' an die Wände einer Höhle in den Pyrenäen gemalt, undeutbare Fragmente davon tauchen später im Bahnhof von Uelzen wieder auf. Ada Lovelace extrahiert aus einem Manuskript, in dem sich Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz mit den Tri- und Hexagrammen des chinesischen Urkaisers beschäftigt, die Weltformel, die später von Arno Schmidt in einer Butterbrotdose aus der Staatsbibliothek geschmuggelt wird. Eine Freifrau von Undeloh schreibt eine 'Geschichte der Menschheit von den Anfängen bis ins Jahr 9595', die Zager & Evans zu ihrem Welthit inspiriert. Arno Schmidt und Charles Bukowski, die sich heimlich in einem Bordell in Uelzen getroffen haben, um zu saufen und über Nachkriegsprosa zu streiten, jagen nachts auf der Suche nach Spuren dieser Chronik im Taxi durch die Lüneburger Heide.
