Hidroksiapatit (HAp) merupakan bahan golongan keramik yang digunakan dalam bahan baku pembuatan biomaterial sebagai implan gigi, implan tulang, dan pelapis material implan. Hal ini dikarenakan HAp memiliki sifat biokompatibel dan bioaktif terhadap jaringan tubuh manusia serta mempunyai sifat mudah diserap oleh tubuh. Sintesis HAp menjadi penting dilakukan karena kebutuhan implan tulang di indonesia sangat tinggi dan pemenuhannya masih impor. Selain itu. harga HAp komersial juga sangat mahal. Perlu diketahui, sintesis HAp dapat dilakukan dengan mudah, yaitu menggunakan limbah bahan biogenik seperti cangkang kerang, tulang ikan. ataupun tulang hewan. Pemanfaatan bahan biogenik tersebut juga sebagai alternatif untuk mengurangi limbah. Buku ini membahas pemanfaatan bahan biogenik (tulang kerbau, cangkang kerang hijau, cangkang keong mas, cangkang rajungan, cangkang kerang darah, cangkang kerang Simping, dan cangkang te|ur burung puyuh) sebagai prekursor sintesis HAp menggunakan metode presipitasi serta pemanfaatannya sebagai scaffold tulang. Selain itu, buku ini juga membahas parameter yang berpengaruh pada hasil sintesis HAp di antaranya suhu dan waktu pengadukan, pH larutan, konsentrasi prekursor, serta suhu dan waktu sintering.

Tubuh manusia merupakan sistem hibrida yang terdin atas material anorgantk berupa biokeramik apatit serta matenal organik. Sistem hibrida tersebut menyatu dan berinteraksi dengan biomolekul, protein, serta sel-sel dalam struktur yang kompleks. Bila terjadl luka, gangguan, kerusakan, atau kehilangan janngan tubuh manusia, maka upaya yang biasa dilakukan adalah menggantikan janngan yang rusak tersebut dengan suatu konstruksi yang minp dengan janngan aslinya. Pada titik itulah biokeramik dan rekayasa jaringan memainkan peranan penting dalam proses regenerasi jaringan tubuh manusia. Ilmu tentang blokeramik telah berkembang dengan cepat, terutama sejak ditemukannya hidroksiapatit (HA) sebagai material pengganti tulang. Beragam matenal prekursor telah diteliti secara intensif, misalnya senyawa kalsium karbonat dan berbagai macam koral, senyawa kalsium sulfat, senyawa dikalsium fosfat, dan sebagamya. Metode pabrikast yang dikembangkan juga bervariasi, mulai dari sintesis dengan presipitasi basah, metode kering, pemanasan suhu tinggi, penggunaan gelombang mikro, serta pemanfaatan teknologi printing tiga dimensi hingga nanoteknologi. This document contains the report of the of fish loss assessment case studies conducted within the framework of the FAO Save Food Programme and coordinated by the Fish Products, Trade and Marketing Branch (FIAM). Following the capacity development workshop of national loss assessment team members, held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 29-30 September 2014, four post-harvest fish loss assessment studies were conducted between October 2014 and September 2015. Muara Angke was the first case study, which combined capacity building of the research team with application of the loss assessment process to familiarize with the tools that were subsequently applied to wider fishing locations in Java: gillnet fisheries in Tegal, Central Java; gillnet fisheries Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, and small pelagic processed fish in Brondong, East Java.

This book intends to offer an alternative lens for regionalism studies in Southeast Asia. Despite of its widely acknowledged status as one of the most successful regionalism, ASEAN still suffers from numerous obstacles. Yet, in the midst of ASEAN uncertain future trajectories, there is only limited consensus on how to approach ASEAN regionalism. Scholars of ASEAN regionalism tend to use ASEAN identity as the main explanation of cooperation among ASEAN member states. However, this approach suffers from limitations. Emphasis on static, traditional, and all-encompassing identity has made issue-specific cooperation and its internal dynamics neglected. The way issue-specific cooperation alters ASEAN architectures also remains understudied. By shifting attentions to issue-specific cooperation, this book attempts to fully grasp the dynamics of 50 years of ASEAN cooperation. Why could ASEAN member states reach consensus in certain issues—ranging from energy, environment, human rights, disaster management, human security, to infectious disease—albeit ASEAN values such as non-interference and informality? How do these practices of cooperation reshape the idea of ASEAN values? Will the changing practice of issue-specific cooperation spillover to the strengthening of ASEAN regionalism?
