Algorithms And Architectures For Cryptography And Source Coding In Non Volatile Flash Memories written by Malek Safieh and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-08-09 with Computers categories.
In this work, algorithms and architectures for cryptography and source coding are developed, which are suitable for many resource-constrained embedded systems such as non-volatile flash memories. A new concept for elliptic curve cryptography is presented, which uses an arithmetic over Gaussian integers. Gaussian integers are a subset of the complex numbers with integers as real and imaginary parts. Ordinary modular arithmetic over Gaussian integers is computational expensive. To reduce the complexity, a new arithmetic based on the Montgomery reduction is presented. For the elliptic curve point multiplication, this arithmetic over Gaussian integers improves the computational efficiency, the resistance against side channel attacks, and reduces the memory requirements. Furthermore, an efficient variant of the Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) algorithm for universal lossless data compression is investigated. Instead of one LZW dictionary, this algorithm applies several dictionaries to speed up the encoding process. Two dictionary partitioning techniques are introduced that improve the compression rate and reduce the memory size of this parallel dictionary LZW algorithm.

Handbook Of Signal Processing Systems written by Shuvra S. Bhattacharyya and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-10-13 with Technology & Engineering categories.
In this new edition of the Handbook of Signal Processing Systems, many of the chapters from the previous editions have been updated, and several new chapters have been added. The new contributions include chapters on signal processing methods for light field displays, throughput analysis of dataflow graphs, modeling for reconfigurable signal processing systems, fast Fourier transform architectures, deep neural networks, programmable architectures for histogram of oriented gradients processing, high dynamic range video coding, system-on-chip architectures for data analytics, analysis of finite word-length effects in fixed-point systems, and models of architecture. There are more than 700 tables and illustrations; in this edition over 300 are in color. This new edition of the handbook is organized in three parts. Part I motivates representative applications that drive and apply state-of-the art methods for design and implementation of signal processing systems; Part II discusses architectures for implementing these applications; and Part III focuses on compilers, as well as models of computation and their associated design tools and methodologies.

Intelligent Instrumentation written by Manabendra Bhuyan and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-11-17 with Technology & Engineering categories.
With the advent of microprocessors and digital-processing technologies as catalyst, classical sensors capable of simple signal conditioning operations have evolved rapidly to take on higher and more specialized functions including validation, compensation, and classification. This new category of sensor expands the scope of incorporating intelligence into instrumentation systems, yet with such rapid changes, there has developed no universal standard for design, definition, or requirement with which to unify intelligent instrumentation. Explaining the underlying design methodologies of intelligent instrumentation, Intelligent Instrumentation: Principles and Applications provides a comprehensive and authoritative resource on the scientific foundations from which to coordinate and advance the field. Employing a textbook-like language, this book translates methodologies to more than 80 numerical examples, and provides applications in 14 case studies for a complete and working understanding of the material. Beginning with a brief introduction to the basic concepts of process, process parameters, sensors and transducers, and classification of transducers, the book describes the performance characteristics of instrumentation and measurement systems and discusses static and dynamic characteristics, various types of sensor signals, and the concepts of signal representations, various transforms, and their operations in both static and dynamic conditions. It describes smart sensors, cogent sensors, soft sensors, self-validating sensors, VLSI sensors, temperature-compensating sensors, microcontrollers and ANN-based sensors, and indirect measurement sensors. The author examines intelligent sensor signal conditioning such as calibration, linearization, and compensation, along with a wide variety of calibration and linearization techniques using circuits, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), microcontrollers, ANNs, and software. The final chapters highlight ANN techniques for pattern classification, recognition, prognostic diagnosis, fault detection, linearization, and calibration as well as important interfacing protocols in the wireless networking platform.

Intelligent Signal Processing written by Simon Haykin and has been published by Wiley-IEEE Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-01-15 with Computers categories.
"IEEE Press is proud to present the first selected reprint volume devoted to the new field of intelligent signal processing (ISP). ISP differs fundamentally from the classical approach to statistical signal processing in that the input-output behavior of a complex system is modeled by using "intelligent" or "model-free" techniques, rather than relying on the shortcomings of a mathematical model. Information is extracted from incoming signal and noise data, making few assumptions about the statistical structure of signals and their environment. Intelligent Signal Processing explores how ISP tools address the problems of practical neural systems, new signal data, and blind fuzzy approximators. The editors have compiled 20 articles written by prominent researchers covering 15 diverse, practical applications of this nascent topic, exposing the reader to the signal processing power of learning and adaptive systems. This essential reference is intended for researchers, professional engineers, and scientists working in statistical signal processing and its applications in various fields such as humanistic intelligence, stochastic resonance, financial markets, optimization, pattern recognition, signal detection, speech processing, and sensor fusion. Intelligent Signal Processing is also invaluable for graduate students and academics with a background in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. About the Editors Simon Haykin is the founding director of the Communications Research Laboratory at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where he serves as university professor. His research interests include nonlinear dynamics, neural networks and adaptive filters and their applications in radar and communications systems. Dr. Haykin is the editor for a series of books on "Adaptive and Learning Systems for Signal Processing, Communications and Control" (Publisher) and is both an IEEE Fellow and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Bart Kosko is a past director of the University of Southern California's (USC) Signal and Image Processing Institute. He has authored several books, including Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks for Signal Processing (Publisher, copyright date) and Fuzzy Thinking (Publisher, copyright date), as well as the novel Nanotime (Publisher, copyright date). Dr. Kosko is an elected governor of the International Neural Network Society and has chaired many neural and fuzzy system conferences. Currently, he is associate professor of electrical engineering at USC."
